The problem is that he won't fix it. He does the same thing every time. 4-2-3-1. And then its **** because Gerrard can't run and we have one striker. Or he plays a 4-3-3 which is **** because its still one striker and probably Joe Allen.

He plays the same ****ing culprits week in week out. For ****s sake. Johnson, Allen, Gerrard in the wrong role. After 5 **** games at least Rafa switched it up a little. Rodgers persists, assuming that his tactic isn't the problem but the players.

We need two strikers. We need a proper 10. We need a midfield like last year with a solitary ****ing DM who can actually move and turn.

Its so painfully evident. Why does he do the same thing EVERY week? Last year we played well with a 4-4-2 diamond. You have to be massively egotistical to believe you can switch a system, buy tons of new players and then improve on last years results.

Is Sturridge truly the answer? I suppose when he's in the team the entire dynamics of the team change, all of a sudden you have the opposition pushed back and stretched, as he has fantastic pace, movement, hold up.. Which then gives our midfield more space and options etc. is January key in terms of finding more Sturridge-like players?

  4. Great posts by Magic and Danilo <applause>

I find it difficult. On one hand I really like that brod plays attacking possession / pressing football but on the other he's not got a clue about defence or buying players.

No he wont. And he has no excuses because this is his 3rd year and is officially his team. His misshapen, overpriced, mediocre team.

He knows what works. The diamond worked wonders last year. So he brings in a striker that has to play with a partner - sounds perfect for the diamond yes? - but plays him up top alone. Persists with a useless right back, an aged legend living on the name of his former glories for 90mins every game, and his new CB that he can't drop solely because of the ludicrous money he spent.

you reckon club may be seeking alternative options behind his back, had it with Klinsman before.

what worries me is even if we sort this ****e out somehow, will they give him money to spend in jan that we badly need?

That's a good point to be fair, attacking/possession team, usually anyway. Right now as a team there isn't much identity, we're certainly not a counter attacking team anymore as teams just sit in front of us. Not really a possession team as we can barely pass square. We're right now a team of passengers who don't look like they understand what they're being asked to do. I'd love to see a general heat map of our actual formation over 1 game, I think it would be a fairly random image. Our team is very fluid, but that doesn't count for much if you don't implement it right! Crucial period in Rodgers tenure here, this will be the make or break of him. I hope he turns this around as I like him and think he represents LFC quite well. Unfortunately, results will be the be all and end all.

The decision not to have a DoF now is looking rather stupid, especially with a young manager with no name recognition in Europe. If its true that Rodgers demanded no DoF (and this dumb committee) should we have walked away and looked for some who isn't so egotistical?

  10. Brod didn't want the DoF but FSG didn't want a manager to have a free reigh either, the committee was a compromise.

We need to bring Origi in and push to sign Berahino and Reus if possible.

Can't bring Origi, its part of the deal. A full season loan without a callback (as Lille say). It seems to be the compromise for probably £5m+

  13. If there is any chance of it at all, I'd put every ounce of concentration into getting Reus!

I have no confidence that we will get 3 points against palace in our next game. Who amongst us does?

We were lucky to get the 3 points against QPR. I do not think that Rodgers knows his strongest side. Was it this side which played against Chelsea ?? Did he stain our reputation in Europe for this performance ??

    That is true

Balotelli needs dropping out your squad imo, he's not even worthy of a place on the bench on current form and work rate
