MOTD is **** but better than waiting 'till midnight to watch 20 seconds of our team getting off the bus an 10 seconds of highlights followed by Steve Clarridge getting all our player's names, positions, abilities, etc wrong.

 

Yeah that was quality to be fair. I used my wildcard on FPL and he is currently in my team. Good idea? For your next two home games, at least...?

I like MOTD, but agree the FLS is awful. Is it me, or is it really awkward?

Plus, why do they tell you what's going to happen, before it happens? I much prefer MOTD and their commentary. Not some nobody saying "But Nugent could only hit the bar from his spot kick" as he is running up to take it... It's like, thanks for that!!!

 

I'd say so, but I'll have obvious Aluko-bias as I've thought he was the best thing since sliced bread ever since we signed him.

Find MOTD boring, too much bollocks, like all that Shearer malarkey about body position when marking the front post on corners yesterday, who cares, just show us the football.

It's ****e, Maniche seems a friendly guy but seems to know nothing about football, Clarridge is just an idiot, Leroy Rosenior is alright but that's about it. My only sympathy with them is the sheer number of games & goals they have to show but given that why do they waste time showing team's getting off buses?

I would guess it's because the highlights are so brief that it would seem odd to give a normal commentary for 20/30 seconds of highlights.

 

Aluko's goal was great skill to control the volley like that.

The Beeb need to have a MOTD style Football League show for the Championship with League's 1+2 on the red button with other presenters/pundits.


It's also time that Dan Walker got promoted to the FLS.

They should have got Robbie Savage on the FLS. Love him or hate him he knows what he is talking about.

 

FLS is soshit. I'm glad we got promoted so we weren't on there for 10 seconds every week anymore.

Maniche and Claridge are ****ing atrocious, they need to be booted out ASAP.

MOTD isn't too bad when Shearer isn't on it. Hansen used to be really good but has lost it a bit over the last couple of years. It needs someone like Gary Neville, imo the best footie pundit out there (which is a shame, as he is a dick). Savage is pretty good to be fair, and he should be on MOTD much more often than he is.

Also, is Michael Owen the single most boring person in history?

... will be interesting to monitor this (and assuming we are talikg PL games) ... not denigrating his overall efforts in any way, and that his general play may be significant in terms of creating opportunities for others etc ... but whenever I have seen him live (or in a televised game) the words 'barn door' and 'banjo' have been very much in point

Well, we have Wet Spam and Villa next, both at the KC. I'd have him in, and I would have Brady too, but obviously I have bias...

Them two are our most likely scorers, though Graham to be fair to him has played really well and has been incredibly unlucky.
