I wasn't born until '78! But I'm sure it was Magic. One of the great Cup Finals.

 

Man i hope this is true, not only for the practical reason of keeping Pochettino but also the larger statement by the club that the saints are more than just a mule to carry a player/manager to greater success at 'a big club' afterwards.

I personally feel resigned to losing one of our most coveted players (shaw, lallana) this window but if we could hang onto one and keep pochettino in town it would be a great achievement for the club when one considers the press apparently still views saints as a sort of trial by fire for the talent before they go on to greater things.

Tbf JS, the news agencies are just reading each others breaks. Once one pops out with something the rest follow, just changing the order of a few words to pretend they are different.

 

It's the only rumour that has made sense. There has been so much garbage speculation about deals apparently done before any engagement with the club. I can possibly see Ramirez going if they got a good offer, and Osvaldo will go, but I don't see Lallana & Shaw going despite all the press speculation. If you believe them, we'd be losing Victor, Morgan, Luke, Jose, Jack, Dejan & Calum. But to replace we'll be buying Sinclair which I can't believe either with his track record recently and his attitude doesn't seem to be a fit our ethos at all.

My point on that Ramirez could possibly go, is that although he hasn't always been fit, he's also not been first choice, and it's questionable whether he's suited to the intensity of our pressing game.

 

Tottenham is a poisoned chalice. ha!

Southampton has a history of complete harmony.

If we were to keep poch and make a couple of key signings I think we could finish above spurs next season

I'd like to see him stay. Before his recent injury, it looked to me like he was starting to come good. And if Adam goes (sorry, don't even like thinking it), we might need him.
