Its a fanciful argument isn't it ? We reached a final last year so we're obviously going to win a trophy under Howe... ppfft

Ffs we played **** clubs all the way and we've lost plenty finals. Lost roughly one a decade on average.

I half jokingly said after the takeover our first trophy will be the league as we can't do finals, but it could be the case.

I don't think it's a certainty Newcastle will ever win a cup, but the chances will increase.

Newcastle could lose another 20 finals over 70 years.

Look at our little piss pot ground and training complex compared to the biggest clubs in the world...we're absolutely miles behind.

I think he has every opportunity to win something. Not expecting a CL or a PL, but one of the domestic cups or a Europa / Conference win is feasible.

Howe is now managing a team competing with teams higher than he ever has before. This is a learning process for him as well. Arteta in his 1st full season finished lower than Howe finished last season with a stronger squad than Howe inherited and now Arsenal are considered potential title challengers.

In my opinion, stability in the management is more likely to breed success at this stage. If we plateau for a couple of years then a new manager in to freshen things up should be considered.

Our ground is better than Chelsea's like, but training ground is more important than actual stadium for the day to day of the players.

I watched Bayern last night and a few champions league games and I realised the gravity of the build thats required.

Newcastle are absolutely miles away from completing genuinely for anything.

    Lucky draws isn't that.

The likes of Birmingham and Swansea have won the league cup, Portsmouth and Wigan the FA Cup.

On face value I agree. Maybe Ashworth brings a lot of value we can't see. In terms of management, we've not looked better in a second half at all this season, and his subs are predictable and poor.

The transfer business this year has left a lot to be desired. Compare it to Brighton.....

Newcastle were in those competitions aswel... actually back then it was becoming a good thing because the big clubs weren't interested.

To believe Newcastle can win something Newcastle would have to be better than the best or close and unfortunately they are not.

Newcastle do not beat the best teams.

If we are speaking about a replacement in a few years time ... Thomas Tuchel would be a hell of a shout.

Let's hope Howe doesn’t time his sacking in line with Southgate vacating the England job because he's very friendly with Staveley.

I fear the exact same thing.

I'd be ****ing furious if we replaced Howe with someone of Southgates ilk.

Always the concern and right now Newcastle don't have alot of money to spend so it's not going to appeal to the top managers.

Regardless of his flaws we need to use Howe for the next 2 or 3 years while they build up a nice pot to spend again and then get rid of him mercilessly.

As much of a worry as that could be, I can't see it... the owners have more vision and awareness than that.

2 years sounds right. Adidas kicks in next year and a mediocre set up won’t suit then end of 2025. Howe will be or should be fully aware he’s got 18 months to prove he’s capable.

He won’t. And he’ll go. Then it’ll be big names and big money.

And here lies the difference between the supporters and the followers.

Supporters support through thick and thin and followers simply check the results……

Noted on here recently that many agree DURING the match and then retroactively change their mind, usually to whatever the general crowd on here is agreeing too.

Roly just maintains his opinion throughout and afterwards.

There were bunch ****ting on the tactics, subs and players during the game.

1 shot in 90 mins is ****, what's everyone blabbering on about with this nonsensical faith bollocks. It's a game of football, not divine intervention.

What's this team that tries idiocy which is puked out whenever convos get tough. Tonali and Bruno don't look ****ing bothered tbph. If that was Hayden people would want him killed.

If Bruce was using copy and paste tactics, despite finishing above expectations in his first season, we would all still want him gone. Now, its different.

Roly is very consistent and when we play, he isn't wrong. He's only wrong when the 90 mins are over. It's bizarre and the claims some on here aren't real fans is just getting tedious.

No one has said the words on here once, "sack Howe" but just chatting like he will be gone in A FEW YEARS is too much for some. Are people on here genuinely of the belief that Howe will be with us for more than 2 more years? He will manage Newcastle for a combined, what, 7+ years?

    Come on.
