Pardew doesn't know if he'll last beyond this season and seeing as Bruce is a Newcastle fan he may be on their list.
Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has admitted he does not know where his future lies beyond the current Premier League campaign. The Magpies have failed to emulate last season's form, when they finished fifth, and are only one place above the relegation zone with two games left. Pardew is keen to meet with owner Mike Ashley once the season has ended. "As soon as I know we're in this division, that's what I want to do with Mike," Pardew told BBC Newcastle. He can tell me where he's coming from and we can clear the air about how we want to take it forward. "He could turn around and say, 'sorry Pards, see you later and thanks very much. He could do that if we don't make it, he could do that if we make it. "Unfortunately for me I have to accept that decision." Pardew was named the League Manager's Association Manager of the Year for 2011-12 after leading the Magpies into the Europa League. The former West Ham, Reading and Charlton boss signed an eight-year contract on the back of that achievement in September 2012. However, the club has struggled to maintain their league form in tandem with the extra pressure of continental competition, and find themselves three points clear of danger with matches against QPR (away) and Arsenal (home) to come.
I doubt he got any pay-off, he was on a fortune, it was his choice to step down and he's moved into the boardroom.
I assumed that was the case when that ridiculously long contract was announced, I think Kean had the same arrangement when his contract was extended at Blackburn.
But beyond that, it's not that long since their smaller local rivals sacked him for not being good enough. It doesn't look good if you're taking on your rivals' cast offs like that when they're not exactly out performing you by much.
i cannot see how people can say our steve bruce isn't sexy?? i think he is quite sexy.....there again ive had a dinner lady fetish since i went to sir henry cooper high school in 1968!!!
I'd think if Pardew was sacked the natural choice to Manage a Team full of French players would be a French Manager, poss Blanc or Galtier at Saint Etienne
I'm not so sure. It was weird with the programme notes on Sunday. Why would he have said that? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...as-Manchester-United-manager-pushed-exit.html
True but I'm going with officer Crabtree. He's flying in on Egyptian airlines late tonight, I can say no more......
Former Sunderland manager Steve Bruce? The Geordies are precious at the best of times, I don't think they'd want a former Mackem there whether Bruce hails from nearer the black & white regions or not. I love watching Newcastle fail, it does amuse me. Their fans are proper tarts. However, it's a great city and I've enjoyed myself up there numerous times. Credit where it's due!
I really don't understand why people made an issue of this or McLaren's infamous Dutch exploits. It is common courtesy - and most people do it - to adopt a local accent when in a foreign country. It would be rude if Barton spoke to French journalists in a scouse accent.
I do speak Italian, what's funny about that? Do you not feel ignorant when you go to a foreign country and rely on them to speak English?
adopting the accent and still speaking english is ****y. if you're gonna speak the language, at least have a go at the language, but just doing the accent sounds like you're taking the piss out of the locals that try English.
