so real madrid, barcelona and dortmund you'd back your side to beat. your comment even indicates its not even a struggle.. "only bayern to worry about".......

this my LFC colleagues is a perfect example of what i said we need to get back to on the hull thread. this is pure cockyness brought about by years of success.

No disrespect to you UIR of course but it must be said that you are pretty much putting a lot of sides down in what you siad that are currently looking a lot better than utd.

as for leverkusen... I am sorry but i also thought that was an easy group day one so if you think just cos you didn't hear it said out loud in fornt of you that i'm making it up tough... there is a thread on ja606 with predictions and i put points on the line backing utd before the CL started to top the group.....

having seen leverkusen in the first game v utd i thought they were nothing at all special. I fail to see why people are insisting on bigging up leverkusen in order to make this some sort of achievement for utd. Yes they are second in the german table BUT evidence of the eye is better than any table. They are not all that.

I have already said... the real test is to come and i would look to the draw first, if utd get one of the lesser second placed team yes they can go though the first knock out round.......... but I would have to say that QF time for me (bar arsenal or a a shock team like basel or something) is where utd will find it just too hard.

Indeed. This is ideal from LFC fans perspective. the longer moyes is left in charge the better for us!

I'm quite enjoying mourinho's troubles and hope RA spits the dummy before they buy too many players but backing moyes to plod along for as long as possible, hell another couple fo fellinai like buys and we'll all be watching the utd title charge <ok>

Nothing easy about it. Just bayern are a side who could embarrass us and any side. The rest are beatable. Easily? Lol. There are no easy games.

Fergie's shadow still looms large over man u mito, apart from when he was promoting his slanderous tome he's been pictured at all of their games home and away since, coincidently their results in general have improved during this time.

Moyes is only a frontman at the club.

Surely his years in the CL along with his frugel spending and trophyless years were what prompted Fergie to cherry pick Moyes in the first place?

After all Fergie wouldn't want to be outfergied would he?

you should realise that moyes record in europe is average to be kind

When they did get 4th as we triumphed in europe they then managed to lose both quali legs to villareal and go out ebfore the group stages in his one go at the thing.

everton only got past the group stages of the europa twice, as we all knwo the europa is about as competitive as league 1 so not getting out of your group shows real talent for f'ing up. one last 16 in the europa is your lost and a hammering off every decent side he came up against.. sporting lisbom kicked them up and down the park last time out.

I'm sure he is invincible in europe for utd... I'm sure the group was actually a group of death cos what would i know.....

I think ferguson picked him for a reason, perhaps that reason is to kick rooney up the behind. I don't know. I doubt somewho that ferguson is still running the show given the state of teh football on occasion.

    <ok>

I think Moyes is his own man. He wouldn't want Fergie to interfere and neither would the great man <ok>

  14. Feel free to read back. I said he would do well but take time too. I predicted third for you guys too.

I didn't expect him to do too well in the CL when he was appointed but I changed that opinion for the group stage once the draw was made.

reality check for the ardent and blinkered utd fans... just admit you have issues and leverkusen were pretty average.

Your team has good players but...

    D egea/lindegard
    Rafael/smalling ferdinand/jones Vidic/evans Evra/Butland
    Valencia/nani Carrick/jones Cleverly/giggs welbeck/young
    ronney/kagawa
    RVP/Hernandez

on paper you lot have two player for every slot..... reality check... central midfield is poor for your standard, CBs look shaky now. RB is not nailed on, Evra is leaving? Left wing hardly exists....

I didn't even bother stick in felliani as you know what if you lot want to use him and donkey long ball fine but theres a huge rebuilding job in hand for utd in defence and midfield so if utd think sticking in late bids for ozil or making unrealistic bids on fabregas is going to do it..... most of all who's going to join to play for moyes...

semis of CL... with this lot... if this happens it'll be down to the draw not to ability. I'll never say never cos honestly LFC pulled it off in 2005 and cheslea did too didn't they... bad teams can win it with a bit of luck and playing defensive.... but what i'm hearing is you lot think you can match sides play for play... i hope to hear from you guys when reality bites.

  17. I said:

    1) Chelsea
    2) Man City
    3) Man Utd
    4) Arsenal
    5) Liverpool
    6) Tottenham
    7) Everton

...obviously I'd like Liverpool at least one place higher but I'm still quite happy to go with this.

still think chelsea will win it? I'm kind of struggling to see them do as much now I am quite surprised by their form but not utds... have to also say tottenham also are a let down

  19. I'm not as confident about it as the start of the season but you've got to stick with your original prediction haven't you? I think Man City will still be the ones to beat though.
