As to whether he'll resign, i highly doubt it. He's a bit like Wenger, too arrogant for his own good sometimes. He feels he's taking the club in the right direction (i know the majority of you disagree with him) so he'll stay. The only way he'll leave is if your owner fires him.

It will be one way or the other by the end of the season.

When I start a discussion with a Kenny supporter I am going to insist that the word "if" is not used.

If we had scored the chances, if we had not hit the woodwork, if the referees were not sh*t, if we had this player not injured, if the player ha not been given offside etc etc etc....if if we could have been in champions league places. If Cardiff had scored their pens in the shoot out, we wouldn't have won the cup would we?

If my auntie had a c*ck she'd be my uncle !

<laugh> .

Dalglish will assess hisself as to whether he is up to the job and I believe he will make an honest assessment and decision.

I agree he should be given anotrher season, but people say that on the basis/belief/hope that he will succeed. What needs to be conisdered is what happens if he doesn't do a good job netx season? Let's say by mid-October the title, or even top-4 is looking difficult, will people say let him see the season outr, or will they say enough is enough.

I suppose what I am saying is, when people (rightly in my opinion) suggest he should be given another year, do they mean an entire season unconditionally, or do they mean see how next seasons shapes up?

I think it's the latter.

As for the team, I think reasonable fans will acknowledge that the team generally has played well, but not scored enough. However now that that has resulted in a poor run of results, the confidence is shot to pieces and that is what we are seeing. Basically, and as at Arsenal we have seen this as well, the playeers and mgmt at LFC just want to see the back of this season and start afresh. It happens, and it's not easy to snap out of. If you get the FA Cup to add to your CC it will end your season on a high, and you will be better next season.

You thought Gerrard waving him off the pitch was disrepectful, I dont think it was, and I gave a reason, but yet you are impartial to that bit.

You got beat by a better team today, and trust me, thats not easy for me to say being a Sunderland fan, but you were 2nd best for long periods, 1st 15 minutes you were good, but Carrolls dive was terrible.
Yes, impartial. I looked at the Gerrard incident another way to you but I can accept how you saw it from your position. Therefore, impartial.

I agree with your second point, we were ****e and Carroll should be embarrased at giving up a goal scoring chance with a moronic dive.

should king kenny resign? no.
He needs to have a good look at the players he has brought and at the end of the season he needs cut his losses and get rid of them.
Again i will say again and again and again Jordan henderson will prove to be a good signing as he is a talented player and he will prove that.but Downing Carroll Adam can all jog off for me and i will say again and again get a 20 plus goal scorer as that is where we have struggled, just look at our opponents today Newcastle, how much combined did they pay for Ba and Cisse?

did carroll appeal for the penalty? if you look he tripped over the ball and he did not ask for the penno.

Kneejerk/

Seriously,since Jan 1 you've won 2 league games LOL

For once, he has a point. Kneejerk is calling for his head after one bad result, maybe two. But losing 6 in 7 is, and always will be, relegation form. We're lucky the rest of the league is **** otherwise we'd probably been right down in it rather than 8th.

Newcastle paid for that pair a fraction of what we Paid for Carroll.

His judgements regarding buys have been appalling. His tactics during matches are well below the standards of the top elite managers.

Many people here say that Kenny will walk away if he felt that was for the good of the club. I am not so sure. Would anyone walk away from several million of pounds of compensation? Wasn't he sacked from his Newcastle job?
