'Can you imagine Trump in control of that red button?'

RODney, here we go again.
I think differently.

Reagan was a sandwich short of a picnic and the Russians knew it better than anyone.
They behaved themselves knowing they couldn't go 'to far'.
The other day Russian jets flew just a few feet over the American Fleet, taking the p*ss.
Bet your life they wouldn't have if Trump was in charge.

He's half mad and they know it.

Never looked at it like that.

This is why I defend you

Trump is an idiot. A pub politician.
All we need next is Boris as PM and the lunatics will have completely taken over the asylum.

For those old enough to remember it, there was a series in the mid 70's called "I Claudius" (which I think they repeated it last year). It will remain with me for ever as it made a big impact and kind of taught a life lesson in survival tactics plus, it had an "all star" cast.

For the benefit of our younger members who don't know, the basic story is that Claudius survived to grow old(ish) in one of the bloodiest periods of the Roman empire where assassination was a regular and commonplace event for those who were any threat to the current incumbent in power. The opposition was basically exterminated to avoid the same fate occurring to the Emperor i.e. they got their retaliation in first....

Claudius had a limp and was partially deaf and only survived the bloodbath by basically pretending to be a bit of a halfwit simpleton and as such, was treated as a bit of a laughing stock and not considered to be a threat to anyone. Jacobi also played him with a massive stutter adding to the impression.

This came in very handy, especially during the reign of his completely off the scale bonkers nephew Caligula whose excesses became so OTT that he was eventually assassinated and Claudius was proclaimed Emperor by the Praetorian Guard. Suddenly, on appointment to power, the stutter disappeared, as did the simpleton impression and he was actually Emperor for 13 years and is credited with a number of good things before he eventually met the same fate as most Emperors and was assassinated by his adopted son, Nero.

Anyway, the point of all this is that this is how I view Boris. He plays the bumbling idiot now very well but with his background and education, this is something he very clearly is not. Will he become Claudius..? I don't know but whatever, don't be fooled by the image he portrays now...

Absolutely he has the common touch and knows how to communicate. He is also a contemporary of Cameron and both know he is the more intelligent. He has however taken a big gamble on Brexit

Time to take our country back,Well done Boris <applause><applause><applause>
That's a separate debate, with conflicting views but the stays are now 4 to 1 on. Politics changes by the week. A few weeks ago Osborne was favourite to succeed Cameron then along came the budget fiasco. So if the stays win where does that leave Boris? As regards Trump he obviously says what a lot of people think. I don't think he will win but the feedback he has generated will need to be considered ongoing. Meanwhile as regards the snooker the Chinese are coming!!

God help us if the country votes to stay in,we will be at the mercy of a unelected government in Brussels running our country.
Then wait for the invasion that will happen, once these dangerous people get their passports in other parts of europe, you will not be able to stop them coming onto our land.

Read this before you vote people-

Female Physician in Munich, Germany sends a message to the world.

Yesterday, at the hospital we had a meeting about how the situation here and at the other Munich hospitals is
unsustainable. Clinics cannot handle emergencies, so they are starting to send everything to the hospitals.
Many Muslims are refusing treatment by female staff and, we, women, are refusing to go among them, especially from
Africa. Relations between the staff and migrants are going from bad to worse. Since last weekend, migrants going to the
hospitals must be accompanied by police with K-9 units.

Many migrants have AIDS, syphilis, open TB and many exotic diseases that we in Europe, do not know how to treat. If
they receive a prescription in the pharmacy, they learn they have to pay cash. This leads to unbelievable outbursts,
especially when it is about drugs for the children. They abandon the children with pharmacy staff with the words:
“So, cure them here yourselves! ” So the police are not just guarding the clinics and hospitals, but also large
pharmacies.

Truly we said openly: Where are all those who had welcomed in front of TV cameras, with signs at train stations?!
Yes, for now, the border has been closed, but a million of them are already here and we will definitely not be able to
get rid of them.
Until now, the number of unemployed in Germany was 2.2 million. Now it will be at least 3.5 million. Most of these
people are completely unemployable. A bare minimum of them have any education.

What is more, their women usually do not work at all. I estimate that one in ten is pregnant. Hundreds of thousands
of them have brought along infants and little kids under six, many emaciated and neglected. If this continues and
Germany re-opens its borders, I’m going home to the Czech Republic. Nobody can keep me here in this situation, not
even double the salary than at home. I went to Germany, not to Africa or the Middle East.

Even the professor who heads our department told us how sad it makes him to see the cleaning woman, who for 800
Euros cleans every day for years, and then meets young men in the hallways who just wait with their hand outstretched,
want everything for free, and when they don’t get it they throw a fit.

I really don’t need this! But I’m afraid that if I return, that at some point it will be the same in the Czech Republic. If the Germans, with their nature cannot handle this, there in the Republic it would be total chaos. Nobody who has not come in contact with them has any idea what kind of people they are, especially the ones from Africa, and how Muslims act superior to our staff, regarding their religious accommodation.

For now, the local hospital staff has not come down with the diseases they brought here, but, with so many hundreds
of patients every day – this is just a question of time.

In a hospital near the Rhine, migrants attacked the staff with knives after they had handed over an 8-month-old on
the brink of death, which they had dragged across half of Europe for three months. The child died in two days, despite
having received top care at one of the best pediatric clinics in Germany. The physician had to undergo surgery and two
nurses are laid up in the ICU. Nobody has been punished.

The local press is "forbidden" to write about it, so we know about it through email. What would have happened to a
German if he had stabbed a doctor and nurses with a knife? Or if he had flung his own syphilis-infected urine into a
nurse’s face and so threatened her with infection? At a minimum he’d go straight to jail and later to court. With
these people – so far, nothing has happened.

And so I ask, where are all those greeters and receivers from the train stations? Sitting pretty at home, enjoying
their non-profits and looking forward to more trains and their next batch of cash from acting like greeters at the
stations. If it were up to me I would round up all these greeters and bring them here first to our hospital’s emergency ward, as attendants.. Then, into one building with the migrants so they can look after them there themselves,
without armed police, without police dogs who today are in every hospital here in Bavaria, and without medical help.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN !

News Flash.

The USA have ceded sovereignty to the Americas Federation based in Mexico City.

In future they will have no control over how many South Americans will be allowed to settle in the USA.
There are huge celebrations in Brazil and Argentina and indeed right across the Americas.
Over 25 million immigrants are expected to arrive in the USA next year.

ps - Argentina is expected to ask the USA to take back the Falklands, sorry Malvinas, before Christmas.

Trouble is you can't argue with facts and we're roughly £5000 off in the EU a year

The most powerful man on earth says we'd not be considered for their trade if we left.

And to trade with the EU we would have to keep the same immigration laws as we have now

I presume you mean £5000 worse off per household MTG - yes that's what the 'in' spin doctors are telling us. The 'out' ones disagree. It's impossible to say for sure because we simply don't know - nobody does - but both sides have given us so much spin that I have no idea what the truth is.

As for Obama, he is in charge of the USA and as such will have the USA's best interest at heart. He does NOT have the UK's best interest at heart. Don't be fooled into thinking that he does - and don't think either that all of a sudden the US would not want to sell us Apple, Ford and other US goods.

As for immigration, again - the truth is hidden amongst so much spin it's hard to be absolutely sure, but I fail to see how being in a club of countries which force you to accept people who live in them into ours can be better than making up our own rules and policing them. It's a hell of a lot harder to enter Britain if you police it properly than the other member state because of the obvious natural border. Of course, if Scotland break away and try to rejoin the EU alone then we WILL have a border and the Scots would be only too happy to welcome everyone in and herd them quickly south.

The whole thing is a mess and I don't have the facts to take a balanced decision.

The main trouble is that it shouldn't be in the hands of people to decide. My ethos is that nothing will get worse if we stay in but we could be massively worse off we do and studies from Lse and other institutions hint at this

Nothing will get worse, wait for it you and i have seen nothing yet,i predict major problems in the next 2 to four years if the people vote to stay in.
We have seen nothing yet.
