People can blame Donald all they like, but everyone was buzzing when he got announced.

As fans, we wanted him based on what little we knew. As a football club owner, who is supposed to take on board the advice of those around him (Jack Ross for instance) she should’ve known.

you’re seriously suggesting it’s not his fault just because fans, who only go on the little they see, know about a player?

its about time the FA had a get out of jail card for when twats take the piss; same law for an ordinary worker should apply, we have been shafted a few time by drink drivers, and injury feigners

No I’m just saying he was a proven goalscorer and we were desperate for one, so it looked like the right thing to do at the time. In hindsight obviously it’s easy to point fingers, but no one, including myself was complaining about it.

Maybe some of us were, but I never spoke to Grigg in the whole process which should have given him a bloody good idea. Nor did I ignore the managers opinion and I certainly didn’t prance about on a faux leather sofa, in front of tv cameras like a 5 year old, after spunking too much money on him. People will blame Donald’s cos it’s his fault

And if he hadn’t of signed a striker it would have been his fault too. He was in a lose lose situation and I applaud him for at least trying. Every football owner in history has made decisions that were wrong in hindsight, but at the time like I said, we all thought it was a great signing. We even had him doing a lap of honour the next day at the SOL, our fans were loving it.

Jack Ross was. That’s my point mate. None of us knew the ins and outs f him but Ross did seemingly. Donald ignored him and went with his own agenda.

I was absolutely buzzing when we signed him. Most of us were!! Donald, IMO, did it simply because of that. He knew it would win over fans. Regardless of what the manager wanted

It was his fault that he left it too late in the window, that’s why it was a lose lose for him.
I’ve already put why fans were liking the signing, so I’m not sure why you are ignoring it, actually I am. Supporters would only go on his goal scoring, an owner, recruitment team would do due diligence and speak to the bloke. We didn’t have that opportunity, but his body language alone would have given it away. He also could have listened to his manager, that isn’t in hindsight at all. It was a clear and ultimately failed attempt to appease the fans cos he had sold Maja off to clear some debt, only days earlier. Let’s not forget, Maja left on 26th January, whose ****ing fault was that? Of course every owner makes mistakes, Donald never made a good one.

Totally agree mate. I think it showed how little he regarded Ross, how restricted Ross was in what he could do here with the lack of proper backing and support he got and how Donald just did what he wanted to and thought was popular, instead of what was right for the team and the club.

There's a huge amount of blame on the recruitment team too. Blank looks and shrugging shoulders all round when Donald is pleading for another option from them. We saw that happen.
