As I see it, there are 5 clubs in danger of being in the bottom 3 alongside Wolves at the end of the season.
Those 5, of course, are Villa and those below them currently.
I see the possibility of Bolton collecting 8 points (or more) from their matches against Fulham, Swansea, Villa, W.Brom and Stoke, resulting in a total of 37 points. I reckon that total will be enough to remain in the Premiership.

What do you think?

My analysis may be way out, of course, since I'm as poor a match predictor as Mark Lawrenson. (Just 6 weeks ago I predicted Wolves would stay up!!) <doh>

Yes, i think they will, Wolves are gone, QPR's run-in is terribly hard. I also think your stronger than Wigan and Blackburn. You just need to win 3 of your last 7 or in other words collect 9 points from a possible 21.

That was a bad result at Fulham and much will depend on the Blackburn v Wigan game next month.

If Wigan win, it may be enough to see Blackburn and QPR go down with Wolves and Bolton just survive.

i think bolton will join wolves and blackburn for the drop this season im afraid. you needed qpr to lose against spurs and they didn't....

still think that Bolton could do it but the may need 8 points from 5 games..... very possible but not so sure after watching them against Swansea. could be only 5 points if QPR lose all 3

Depends how you get on at Villa? If you lose and QPR beat Stoke then i think you are 'gone'.

For me its Wolves Blackburn Bolton. You were poor at home against Swans and your defence is weak.

Nothing against Bolton but you struggle year after year and just make up the numbers.

QPR v Stoke and Villa v Bolton are two very important fixtures as you say - but the QPR match is vital for them, for it's improbable that they will gain any points from the Chelsea and City games. 34 points will not be enough.

Bolton, on the other hand, have 5 games left including the Villa match, so a result there is not as significant. Currently with only 30 points, however, they need to find at least another 5 from somewhere. With possible points from the Stoke and West Brom fixtures, 5 or 6 could be achieved. Even the Spurs match could produce 3 points given the poor away form of Harry's team!

With the other 'drop' contenders having only 3 more matches to play, Bolton have a better than even chance of survival.

Yes but points on the board are better than games in hand especially if you are not playing well.

Funny if you go on any of the bottom teams boards they all say their team will survive and it will be the others.

I look at it realistically and think Blackburn will go due to the hard games. Then it depends on the Villa/Bolton game and QPR/Stoke on how our clubs will do.
Cannot see Bolton getting anything at Sunderland as i don't see QPR getting anything at City unless they have lost the title.

The bookies have us at 6/4 to go down and Bolton at 1/2. A win at home to Stoke would leave Bolton needing 8 from 5 games to overtake us. If Martin Atkinson wasn't such a useless ****er we'd be breathing far easier.
