Win at the Bridge and we top the group so there is no need to panic... though tonight was the night that I completely lost faith in Torres... it's a real shame that he can't get back to his former self... Onwards and Uprwards.
No panic - still in second place. Best team by far won tonight. But... ...WTF happened to our passing accuracy... ...and our defence (not inc' Czech)... ...and our £50m striker (using the term loosely) -he has some fantastic ball skills but we pay him to score. Sadly he is not our big match banker a la Drogs... ...and Mata who was quiet... ...and Oscar who gave the ball away so often (at least he scored).
FFP FFP, is that all you ever talk about, is that the one glistening hope in your sad pathetic life, that "FFP" will swoop down like a knight in shining armour and stop us competing against your team for trophies....**** FFP....its a weak ass piece of legislation thats next to impossible to enforce with any degree of success and even easier to fiddle. Big teams dont get in Europe, people stop watching the CL, CL makes no money....CL goes!
A very OFF night. The best team won, and its a long time since I had to say that! However, we have our Mancs games ahead to get us all positive again and then we'll hopefully hit SD for 6 at SB!
bluemoon2 I commend your foresight, you asked if you'd wobble and you did. Was it the wobble against Juve which prompted you to post it? A cautious Chelsea supporter, that's VERY rare but well done.
Another moron who doesn't yet understand how FFP works or how CL tv revenue gets divided. Save us from these totally inept accounts.
We've been around in Europe for some time now and over the years you get to learn a lot about the sides you are drawn against! We'd never been drawn against this lot before and they were something of a mystery! So, I started reading up on them--and what I read made be a bit apprehensive! However it was a long journey after an important weekend fixture and with another one looming this weekend! I will therefore forgive the lads--JUST THIS ONCE!!!!
Fair comments moony. DIFFICULT one on Sunday for you,I've just looked to see. You're going into it on the back of a defeat and Utd are going into it on the back of a win. Well,I can only say that with the way your luck has been going for a couple of years now I'd put my money on a home win first and a draw second. Now I might be a Spurs supporter but I prefer to be realistic not just about my team but other teams too so you stand a good chance of winning a close match 1-0 or 2-1. Tell me though, what do you think of Torres? Also I'm posting on the Chelsea board so that your supporters will view my profile taking me beyond the 800 view mark heee heee heee.
Thor--I like many Blues were watching Torres , and thinking he was slowly beginning to meld into the squad, with improving contributions> However, after last night it looks like its all back to square one! He was the pits--and no mistake!
My thoughts exactly. I feel though that if he leaves Chelsea he'll be a bit of a Bent and Carroll, wandering aimlessly in the desert. Keane made a mistake by leaving us and he went walkabout and it was also a mistake for Carroll to leave Newcastle and Torres to leave Liverpool. One poster had the username Torrestoflop on another website and he was a Chelsea supporter. The big money signings between English clubs don't seem to work. RVP isn't setting Utd alight is he? Still, you're top of the league so see you on the boards this weekend unless you'll be commenting on our Maribor(who) match. Cheers.
