Ronaldo for whatever reason isn't adored by the Madrid fans, but I can't see them selling him, but it's going to be tricky having them in the same team unless they swap positions and enjoy being on the same team. Otherwise as luke says, they will get in each others way and someone's ego will explode first.
I reckon that Real will rotate Ronaldo and Bale in the same role, and let the two of them fight it out for the crown of "Galactico King." That's not a real award, by the way. I made it up for the purposes of my argument.
Harry was on Talk$hite this morning saying Bale is desperate to go. I believe that on the subject far more than any tabloid story.
BREAKING NEWS! Gareth Bale's proposed world-record move to Real Madrid has temporarily been put on hold, according to Press Association Sport. Reports had suggested that the Tottenham forward would finalise a £93m transfer to the Spanish capital on Friday. But Press Association Sport is reporting that Spurs are unwilling to sanction Bale's move until they have signed at least one new player to fill the Welshman's position. (Source: BBC Football website - transfer news section) I've also seen a newspaper story that says Levy is so livid over Mad Dog's move to snaffle Willian to stop us getting him, that he's cancelled the Bale deal. Thank you, Chavs!
Coentrao not wanting to be included in the deal is another part of it - Real now need to pay cash only.
Good point. I'm not sure Levy is merely interested in the cash. Sure, it helps, but it's pretty much useless if Levy's key targets won't sign for us, at any cost. Also, if it is a "cash only" deal now, I serious doubt that Real has the means to pay.
A little. But we might end up with a slightly pissed off one for a bit. I'd given up hope on my initial vote being correct tbh. I'm now 85% sure he's going, rather than 100%
I am, but I think I went mad as a result of the constant Bale speculation long ago so I don't know how much that is worth... I've managed to get it into my head that if Willian signs for Chelsea then Bale is guaranteed to stay. The rational part of me knows that this is no kind of assurance but the irrational (and much larger now) part of me is dead set on this! Seriously though I think there is a better chance of him staying now than there was 2 or 3 days ago with the Willian developments. But there is still a good chance he's going. Right now I'd put it at 60/40 with the 60% being him going but 40% is enough for me to cling to! EDIT: seen Spurm's percentages and I'm being a bit optimistic here maybe! But I've held this position on here and with my mates all summer so I'll continue to be as optimistic as I can be in Bale staying.
It sounds like you have some of the symptoms of transfer-window-lust. I'm a little crazy for it too. I mean, how many other windows would we be bidding for a £30m player let alone all the other ridiculousness that has happened
I know, its been such a rollercoaster ride that I've started to go off the hook about the whole situation! The whole window has been crazy for us with unprecedented sums of money being thrown around that it has been a lot to take in. I shall remain as confident as I can be that Bale will be here come September 2nd. I have no more evidence for this than those who claim he's as good as gone so I guess that counts for something!
