Pardew had a good season finishing 5th with Newcastle.

What does one good season in a 2 team league count for? Mighty Joe Young could win the Portuguese League with Falcao, Hulk, Moutinho, Rodriguez etc.

After yet more humiliation at home shipping yet more goals, I think the main question of this thread has a lot of poignancy again as most people either thought AVB will not be fired until the end of the season or even after that. Do we all still feel the same? Surely he'll be lucky to see Christmas at this rate!

Personally, if that clown isn't fired come tomorrow morning, I will be livid as he has well and truly been found out. He's a fraud. A charlatan. A fake. A pretender. A nobody in footballing terms. And most of all, he's clueless. Worst of all, arrogant.

Spurs board… can you please; please… please finally pull your fingers out of your arseholes and get a manager of true worth?

Hiddink is a free agent. Stop pissing about and get AVB out and Hiddink in now. Enough is enough!

Can't say I'd take any of those. Be back in same **** house in no time with any of those…

    Ian Dowey - no thanks
McClaren - seriously? The wally with the brolly. No thank you!
Capello - boring, rigid football managed by a dictator but the best on your list in fairness
Holloway - good in interviews for entertainment. Footballing wise… high risk
    Shearer - ummm…. erm… it's a non-starter so not worth the discussion

Can't we show a bit more ambition than this?

Hiddink is the only man we should be after, even if it's only till the end of the season. Pay him what he wants and keep all fingers and toes crossed. It can't get any worse. Even if we don't meet our objectives (unlikely anyway), at least we'll have some pride restored at the lane and we might finally see our brand of football again.

Sky bet offering 2/5 on AVB being the next managerial casualty? Easy Money? Levy could put £15 M on it and win the money needed to pay off AVB.

I cant believe you lot. Like alot of R's fans I like Spurs, always entertaining and playing decent football. You are currently 7th, 4 points off a European spot and, having sold your best player, the team is taking its time to gel.

So let me get this right.....that's a shambles is it??

    Have a word!!

It is a shambles because we all, well most of us at least, looked at the side before the match and said what the **** is he doing? Yes there are many injuries but that needs to be taken into account and use suitable tactics. AVB sticks with his high line a bit like the Captain of the Titanic sailed full steam ahead towards the iceberg. Yes the Titanic made a great start and had it not gone tits up he would have broken the record for crossing the Atlantic, unfortunately the iceberg was it's undoing. AVB's high line is his iceberg.

I don't know what all the fuss is about to be honest.

This week, we're only 5 points off 4th and 8 from the top! And we're still 1 point better off than this time last season! Why on earth is everyone so unhappy?! <whistle>

    Roo :

That comment is very true (however flippantly you make it) .
But can anyone see AVB now putting together a run of PL form remotely close to his best of
    last season ??

With the fixture list as it is, all domestic silverware goals and the CL slot could be finished by
the 2nd week / end of January. IMHO that is how the board will be reasoning.

And on a personal level, if the sports press ain't taking chunks out of AVB on an hourly basis
from now til his demise or the new year, there really is such a thing as "christmas spirit".

AVB's record with us suggests that he is either a good manager or very lucky. We could easily replace him with a very unlucky bad one.

Moyes has had almost no new players to assimilate at Man U but everyone is much more patient despite a massive deterioration in points. Why?

Because it would be moronic to sack a manager after less than half a season.
