You've basically said that, should he win on Saturday, that it's the loss of the fans that sends us down and that's absolute. Not even probably but absolutely.
That is 11/38ths Hughes fault and 27/38ths the fans faults based on the games he's had with any influence over the season compared to our influence over it (ie get behind him or not).

It was reported a while ago and could be the reason why Amit went quiet. The only 3 possibilities are Rigg, Beard and Bhatia.

Apart from that weird anomoly of us winning 5 home games on the trot, Hughes has won once in 10 months. He is the worst manager weve ever had.
Thats the crux of my point Flyer. Potentially yes but only if the club could survive should the move fail. If it couldn't then the risk is too high. Above all I don't know which of those is possible and cannot say so I leave those decisions to those that know.

Where did the £70m figure come from? Last year we earned £43m from Sky alone. Add to that BBC, ESPN, Sponsorship, Naming rights etc, and you are talking well over £70m. I know because I enquired about a sponsorship deal for this season. Over the next 3 years Sky have increased their offer by 70%. So for TV rights alone, even the worst case scenario would be £73.1m in year 1. Consider that to the golden handshake of £15m that has been discussed (where did that come from?) and getting rid of Hughes is a ****ing bargain!
I believe the £15m figure was for Hughes and his staff(I would just sack Hughes myself), so it would be even better to hope for a loss if the sacking figure lowers and the TV money increases is the difference would be less likely to see us go over the edge.
Why the **** should we pay 15p to get rid? He has not fulfilled the terms of his contract. He should do the decent thing and walk.

I can actually see both sides of the argument here and I do understand why some people may want us to lose on Saturday IF that guarantees Hughes's departure. Unfortunately, I'm not at all convinced that Tony is getting rid any time soon and anyway, I simply have to want us to win. It's in my DNA!!

How much money have we already risked to get this £70m? We may not have spent as much as other clubs in the summer but we've spent. Plus wages, small gate receipts we're already running at a loss. So to say we'll gain by sacking him and it's simple math is ridiculous. I'm all for sacking him by the way but I highly doubt it's that simple. Unless there is a clause in the contract that states if we're rock bottom by the time we give him the flick there is no compensation.
Again, I'm all for getting rid for MH but we will lose more financially by doing so and may not get the £70m back with a new manager, the £70m that the owners would have already factored in as income because no one thought we'd be in this f*cking mess!

I have never wanted us to lose, ever, although I do believe in short term pain for long term gain. That sums up our situation precisely.
I'll put my tuppenny worth in again.........I honestly believe there is no way the TF will get rid of MH, therefore another loss will not make one iota of difference, imo we are stuck with him whether we like it or not.......so we really have to get behind the lads on saturday and start to make some inroads into the gap that has opened up to the likes of villa, sunderland etc.
Far more likely is that will be a subdued atmosphere and it will get very nasty once the 1st goal goes in after 20 mins and we havent even had a shot on goal.
With 3000 saints there, it should really be a fiesty atmosphere, although you are right if they score first

Hed never do that, I dont think hed even do it after losing at Sunderland, maybe after losing to villa but that would be 6 winnable points down the drain.
My preferred result is a draw, that way he goes and we dont fall behind them.
