    Hallelujah.
Plus I don't fancy a 3 and a half hour round trip drive, a couple of hours in the doubtless freezing cold with my knees in my chin in the bizarre hope of seeing my team lose.

It will be if we win, Hughes will stay long enough to see us doomed. Only a change of manager will help and that will only happen if we dont win.

Then that would be done to not sacking Hughes early enough.

Ok, we get 3 points and then lose the next 5 and sack Hughes, we could be further off 17th than if we draw/lose and get a new manager in after a further 5 games.

Flyer lad, at last we get back to familiar ground and I can once again disagree with you. Lets deal in certainties .

If we by some fluke or miracle actually beat the Saints at the weekend it will give us 3 much needed points. I need them.

Yes Hughes 'might' take us down or indeed 'might' keep us up, however no matter how much we want him gone (and I do) we NEED these points.

As a Leeds fan might say 'Its MASSIVE'

How about we win, the players rediscover that spring in our step that saw them outplay Spurs brilliantly for 85 minutes and then we win the next 5? Unlikely but so is us losing 5 on the bounce.

Ill be happier hearing of Hughes departure than getting 3 points, of course the ideal thing would be both to happen.

I dont expect any manager to get something at MU but Sunderland are in awful form and Id back a new man to get something up there where I know Hughes would lead us to a loss.

    Hughes - 3 Saints, 0 Man U, 0 Sunderland
New man - 1 Saints (leading to Hughes sacking), 0 Man U, 3 Sunderland

The latter would be the perfect scenario.

You have to be joking, 99.9% of managers never turn a team around once it reaches this stage.

People refer to Fergie but that was 30 years ago and hes been one of the top 3 managers in the world.

Can we not agree then that we want a terribly dire performance with no shots on target from the Hoops and a lucky own goal off their keepers knee?

Swiss Tony lets Leslie swim with the fishes and we can go on the lash celebrating 3 precious points?

I understand some lads may even be venturing over from Ireland for this match, surely we want to send them home not only inebriated but happy too?

Based on the performance by a majority of the players on Saturday against Stoke we will lose against Southampton.MH must now know that this bunch of overpaid mercenaries are not interested in saving his skin.New manager by Monday.

Presumably TF should go then as well for not recognising MH failings in the same way MH failed with SWP?

Not joking mate. I don't think it's likely but it is possible. You are effectively doing the same by putting a percentage chance on it.

Football carries a lot of reasonable possibilities since, to use a cliche, it's eleven versus eleven.

It's that hope against expectation that makes football great (or alternatively the surprise when people give up hope).

I don't think Mark failed with SWP, as he's crap anyway! But you make a valid point, one that I've said numerous times, what is the difference to a signing not working out and a manager not working out! Did we ever hear cries for Hulse, Pellicori etc to be given at least the next 10 games?
Im sure there are players at qpr that you don't think should be there, i just happen to think Hughes hasn't worked out as Tony expected just like Hulse didn't. Apart from his promise of never being in a relegation scrap again, Hughes has been very consistent but not in the way i personally like.
It wasn't long ago that certain people were saying stick with him, give him time etc. That is a rare trait in football nowadays but not always the wisest.

I was one of those people last week saying stick with him come what may, but after watching us at Stoke it was obvious to everyone there that his team are not interested, not all but most. They have got to be the worst bunch ever to wear a rangers shirt, the most talented but the least passionate, they couldnt give a toss and unfortunately for MH he bought most of them to Loftus Road.I would rather have a team that cared and lost than this lot.

Whilst I can understand peoples logic to preferring a loss on Saturday, I simply cannot wish my team to lose. If we win that could be our turning point under Hughes.

I have supported Hughes up to this weekend, so if he can turn it around then I will be more than happy for him to stay.

This is TF 1st club so Im willing to give him a chance.

He made 1 mistake while hugely improving us off the field. Hughes have been our worst manager ever, only the 5 home victories on the trot being the highlight, apart from that, weve won once under Hughes.

Hughes has made mistakes buying old players, players who are crocks, selling HH, including Ephraim instead of DJ, signing AJ, signing Green, not signing a commanding CB, not sign a forward, wrong tactics, wrong formation, wrong subs, totally negative and he lied to us.

A far cry from TFs one mistake.

Now this is crucial for me Flyer and its why I'm not overly vociferous around MH must go.

People on here always criticise and analyse players in isolation but we are not privy to surrounding factors like fitness levels, personal issues(Cisse), training ground showing etc.

In the same way we also speculate on sack MH and be done with it. Again this is done in isolation. We don't know contract details, cost of sacking, club finances and long term direction. TF will have to consider for instance if he were to sack MH at a cost of £15 million and we still went down then that £15million could be the straw that destroys the club and administration looms. We have a management structure that looks at all aspects of the club not just the feverish results that we want.

As such I'll leave the hiring and firing to Tony and get on with supporting the team.

I've heard you argue this before, but to be honest, I just don't buy into it. TF has been fantastic for us and I don't think he was wrong to appoint MH when he did. I do think TF has alienated some fans by rubbishing their views and I also think that he is probably giving Hughes too long to turn things around. However, I acknowledge that TF has a terribly difficult decision to make and I fully understand the stability argument.

None of the above is a reason for TF to go though.
