I didn’t post it because I’m ****ed if I’m paying Rupert Murdoch for the articles, but the generally well respected Fink Tank’s simple measure for managerial performance is end of season league position vs wage bill. It’s probably a tad over simplistic, and only really works to rank managers who have been at a club all season, but I suspect it’s what Ehab was referring to when he used to go on about our top 10 budget.
