Awesome - deserve great credit for that performance. Love to see Arsenal frustrated, worst losers in the league! Poor Van Persie..:emoticon-0106-cryin

Sorry, hadn't seen your original post. I checked the whole thread to see if anyone else had posted it, and didn't see yours until I posted and refreshed. I must have been looking at an old version of the thread.

Well played Wigan ! Really deserved that victory - defended well and attacked with pace and accurate passing. They are no joke team - cant see why people have it against them for just surviving season after season. I can relate to them !

I know the Wigan fan base is small but it is still shocking that they only took 200 to the emirates tonight. They must have no faith in their team whatsoever. It is a shame really as the Wigan players deserved better than that after having beat United.
Fair play to the player sthough as without the big support that most teams get they still have the motivation to beat anybody. Well done Wigan.

I agree. Fantastic performance, shocking from their fans. 200!? i know it's a rugby town, but that is absolutely pathetic!

Wigan have played good football almost all season. They just don't have players that can put the ball in the net otherwise they'd be in the top 6

I have criticised Wigan plenty of times in the past, but you have to be impressed by that. It's just a shame they never start the season that way. It doesn't bother me about their small fanbase though. It's a small town which is much keener on Rugby and is right near Manchester. How many fans do you expect them to have?

Surely most in Wigan support the bigger teams in the region? Wigan's recent and fast rise up the leagues has shown up their support to be poor, but it is to be expected in their geographic location.

I know they try to play nice football, but it's not going to be exciting if you're not scoring goals at the end of the day.

You said terrible football which is nonsense. You can play nice football and not score. Their top scorers are on 5 goals it tells the whole story, they haven't had much luck either

I don't mean terrible style of football. What I mean is that they spend most of the season in the bottom 3 looking like they're out of their depth. I'm talking about their overall performance and results rather than their style.
