I would expect:
Ruddy
Drury
Ward
Whitbread
Naughton
Pilks
Surman
Fox
Bennett
Holt
Jackson/Morrison

Much as I hope Howson/Bennett will grace FCR in the future I want to see us win on Saturday and not risk a slip up by changing too much. I think that a midfield of Fox/Surman with Pilks/Bennett out wide gives us passing ability and pace/quality delviery from wide areas and will (hopefully) ensure that Wigan spend more time defending than worrying us.

I don't get playing Naughton at LB when he is clearly much better at RB and I don't think that Drury ever lets the side down except against lightening wingers but against Wigan whose main threat is Moses it must make sense to have the pace combination of Naughton/Bennett to keep him quiet and spend the entire match running back covering.

I agreed with some of the sentiment above - no there are no easy games in the PL but there are some that are a hell of a lot easier than others. This is one of them and we should be getting all three points in the bag to nail Wigan down at the bottom and confirm our survival (which I am confident is alredy assured but the more points we can msuter the better).

The sooner we are completely safe the sooner PL can start to build for next season and check out different players and formations and let's not forget that if we can keep on winning and accruing points we will be getting £750k per place we climb.

i can't see us playing the diamond for this one unless moses is unavailable, need bennett out wide to cover back to help out the full back. don't forget that martin was badly exposed at the dw stadium by moses, not that i expect him to start on sunday. ( martin that is, not moses ).

Make no mistake this will be a tough game.Wigan are fighting for their lives I would rate the chances of turning over Everton as better.Won't be disappointed if it's a draw.

Surgeryman lets stop any talk of pressure on the players, there should be NONE we are 11th in the PL , everyone calm down all will be ok we will a couple of games before the end of the season even if we lose against Wigan , I remember us losing to Tranmere a couple of seasons ago, did that stop our progress upwards??

This year PL survival
Next year PL mid table and a cup win
Year after Top 4 finish
Year after Champions Leauge final

plenty of steps and a few hiccups on the way

ILWT OTBC!

I like most of the fans are expecting Champions league before then !!!!!
Anything less will be a total failure on PL's part.

I wouldn't say the Wigan fixture is a "must win" with regards to safety, but obviously lack of confidence becomes a factor if a losing streak continues. I would be happy with a good performance and a point. Let's not get panicky. Only need 5 points from 33.
