But there is a big chance Hill could be done for the season after that forearm smash, lets hope the FA dont notice as its outside the PL but it would mean Dunne playing every remaining minute.
I'm very happy with that. As others have said, if we can't win a 1-off home game, we don't deserve to go to Wembley. My one notable complaint from the game would be that we didn't utilise Hoillet down the left enough. It was clear a dead horse was being flogged by taking it down the right so frequently. Let's face it, the fans have been terrible at home so far this season. But if we're all 100% on our game, and support the side to the hilt (regardless of scoreline)...we WILL win. Wigan's support is non existent; our partisan noise can be deafeningly overpowering on Monday. Let's put the "fortress" back into Loftus Road again
If they got 11k for a home play off game, they will get a fulham sized crowd for the away match and about 15k if they get to wembley. They are a mickey mouse club, stadium named after the owner, horrible goal song, awful crowds, a drummer, an anime mascot, no atmosphere. If we lose, Derby or Brighton fans deserve it more.
It was match beyond boring thats true and if Brighton vs. Derby would have been as boring i would have switched it off quickly. Anyway a little edge for us after that 0-0 wrestling. They got two clear chances and we got one chance (Traores shot which Carson pushed over) that was all. We were bit lucky in that Fortunes chance, phew! Hope we dont think that its easy now with home advantage and everything......
Nicely poised ... I suspect the return will be a much different game ... second legs of play-offs (when it's still all to play for) are often incredibly tense and exciting ... good luck.
I wasn't too bad until just before KO and there I was, sat in front of the TV with my two lads, all in our QPR shirts and it hit me!! Good result though...........all to play for, although Wigan will be very dangerous on the break.
I was quite pleased with that TBH. We were solid and they caused us no problems at all. Some of our passing was a bit sharper and slicker and our possesion was good. Still missing that cutting edge though but that will come on Monday night with the crowd screaming like crazy. the need the "Chelsea reception" and they'll go to pieces. I defy any team to come to loftus road and get the "Chelsea treatment" (or oldham) and go away with a reuslt. Get all our biggest, loudest and nastiest supporters around the touchline & give them hell...Galatasary style !! Its not a done deal, but I for one am confident we CAN get to Wembley SORRY GUYS....but Harry got this one spot on Now let see if he swaps out Yun for the return leg.?
Onouha was MOTM for me. Austin also close, as was O'Neil. We need to get Morrison on the ball more and switch Hoilett and Traore though. How easy is it as a defender when Traore goes outside you when he plays on the right? Swap Dunne for Suk and move Hill back inside. If we do that then we have a good chance of making the final. Que sera and all that but happy overall with tonight's result. I feel better now than I did before the game. Looking forward to Monday night, LR is going to be rocking like it hasn't since Furlong banged one in. I really feel for anyone who can't make it. Win or lose.. It's the only ride in town!
Fascinating the differing opinions. I found it gripping from the first minute to the last. A great tactical battle between Rosler and Redknapp. I thought we were really really good tonight. Redknapp's lineup was perfect as were his substitutions. Great result against a quality side. Its all to play for Monday night
