Still not 100% sure of the starting line up but I'm going to have a punt on 2-1 with Cabs to get the 1st goal.

Probably have a saver on the straight win too.

Drinks all round if it comes up.*

    * Not for Obi though, don't want him drinking and driving and losing his license and not being able to drive up to Newcastle to Mod our board for us.

    HTL.

I can see a high scoring game, something like 3-2 to us.
    Expecting early goals.

His injury isn't as bad as first thought so he won't be out for long.

Personally I'm going to change to 3-1 to the Toon. Feeling very confident indeed.

As long as we win, I would prefer you guys to draw.
If we lose then I would prefer you to win.

    Greedy bugger aren't I? <laugh>

I'm feeling a little unsure. If Cabaye plays we will win or draw. If he doesn't we may lose this one.

Sticking with 2-1 to them based on how teams fare after European games. Cisse to bag ours around the 60min mark.

I'm hoping we're going to see a powerful performance from Sissoko, a goal or so from Cisse to continue his re-emergence, and a start and performance from Marv which will encourage us in the extended absence of HBA. Would also be nice to see the Taylor - Mbiwa partnership continue to go from strength to strength.

Hope I'm not asking for too much!

I thought Sissoko was poor against Anzhi and looked paggered. We need to rest him at some stage. It was interesting to hear Cabaye mention the number of games when talking about his groin injury. Him and Sissoko are playing nearly every minute.

A very good match day to you all...<ok>

Whilst we tend to struggle away against Wigan I've a sneaky feeling we'll win today, they'll alomost certainly come out of the blocks flying and are more than capable of hurting teams, however if we can defend well and weather the early storm I think we can catch them on the break. That said I'm going to have a shilling at 66/1 for us to score from a corner in a 3-1 win.......Cisse, Taylor and Gouff.

I will be staying up to watch your game after ours, hopefully we will do you a favour and stop "them" winning and hoping you guys can stop Wigan getting more than 1 point. <ok>

If Wigan win, the bottom half of the table are going to start worrying with the Latics being so good at late revivals every season!

Can't help fearing the worst for this one. The games post Southampton have been games of long periods of creating nothing. We don't get going quickly and really don't go for it early on. After European games we've been poor. So I expect Pardew to pick Jonas in attack and take it from there.

Wigan on the other hand seem to always do well against us.

A point I would take now.

Ah, Master Yoda, long time time no see.

Agree with your comments, I'm nervous on this one too. We have bad form away to Wigan. Hoping for a sneaky win this time though.

A point away in the PL is not something to be overlooked. Regardless of opposition and form.

Newcastle one win in six at our place, following on from last years Barcelona-esue display from Wigan which saw you 4-0 down at half time. Wigan coming off a stunning, unexpected win over Everton and Newcastle only three days after their herculean efforts in getting trhough the the last eight of the EUFA League. Yes, all the portents are in place.

    Another home defeat.
