Downing still remains something of an enigma though. I know he scored but he virtually disappeared second half. I really hope we can unearth another courthino type for the right next season.

I would have, and TBH was expecting BR to bring Wisdom on at 65 mins yesterday for Carra or Agger.With all the changes likely to occur at CB in the summer I think it would have been good to give Andre half an hour at CB and see how he goes, perhaps BR think we still can get 4th/5th and maybe is thinkin goal difference
I would agree with that. I was more focused on seeing allen flounder about for 90mins when he was gash all day. I do think seeing carra off and wisdom on would have been a good move but HELL coates was o nthe bench too so 4-0 up = rolls subs. the team was not doing as well with wigan winning every second ball in midfield once they switched to thier 3 at the back and one up or whatever you call it. i would have liked to see henderosn actually come on for allen and suso come on for coutinho and then that CB sub makes snese now i heard it this morning. Did'nt think on that. I don't think he was thinking anything like GD cos frankly we stopped really playing once they made thier subs and he didn't make a change to wrest back control IMO. I dunno... at least we did over wigan and as a consolation they can know they are slightly better than swansea reserves eh Our gd is now far better than evertons so i think we are in a fight for 6th with them. (i hope) Reckon arsenal are picking it up but will struggle today. spurs will be dragged by bale to 4th before he elaves and cheslea will steal 3rd along with one cup at least.
