A few weeks ago I posted an article declaring we were safe; by no means sure now to say the least.
Given yesterday's results for QPR and Reading and specifically Aston Villa's victory over QPR, we still hold a significant 10 point gap over the bottom three. Wigan seem to hold the key-with their games in hand -they are at home to Newcastle and then to home to Norwich, they must have a good chance of picking up 4 to 6 points. If that becomes a reality we would be either 4 or 6 points clear of the bottom three and bear in mind we are away at Everton next, where it is likely we will get nothing, we could be in a precarious position. There is nearly always one club who drop like a stone and as we have picked up the fewest points of any club in 2013, then it looks like us this year.
I will be cheering on Newcastle today but my view is we are bang in the mix for a relegation fight and our current form is so bad, it is not beyond the bounds of possibility we could go down this year.
My cup is usually half full but from our last 8 games I can only see the following
Everton L
Villa D
Man U L
QPR L
Norwich W
Sunderland L
Spurs L
Southampton L

That will give us 38 points and I'm not sure that will be enough this year.

Morning Northern,
No need to discuss mate, I posted a similar thought some time ago, 'there is always one team that drops like a stone' this year its us.
I honestly believe we will be lucky to get up to 38 points.

Northern,

From now it's as much to do with the other teams results as ours we still need to pick up points to guarantee prem survival and the teams we should pick points up from seem have more hunger for them, there are going to be more twists and turns to come with the odd shock result as well, i don't think the fat lady has even started to warm up her voice yet!

Great post Northern
We ARE in the Doggie doo's we need at least four more pts, where we get them given our form I don't know mate. It's a crying shame that Pulis has been allowed to stay in charge this long. MOTD even talked about it last night. Re... one win since Xmas? ONE win away this season? We might well be well and truly fooked.

Worst thing is.. Pulis knows it! And he can't do anything to change/improve it. Or he won't.

Bricking it and the next couple of weeks might decide where we are next season Northern.

Potts,

I think 1 win and a couple of draws will see us through but "that man" will probably park the bus rather than go for it, we have 1 bonus as Huth will be back but there's nothing happening upfront and he needs to sort that out.

I agree with Northern, Wigan do hold the key to our survival. If they do their usual and go on a good run from here then it could be interesting. Villa and Saints did their chances of staying up no harm yesterday and I do think that QPR and Reading will find it difficult to avoid the drop now. However teams immediately below us are cable of winning, Stoke are not on current form. Twists and turns there will be and I still think that 4/5 more points should suffice for us but it could be close.

Could Saints v Stoke on the last day of the season be a relagation decider? I hope not but who knows?

Yes Sgt, our saving grace, just as it has been for the last couple of seasons.

Look how far we have come!!!

And yes, the is the worst Premier League season in terms of quality for a long long time.

Hey Jowler, what's all this ***in business all about then. Have you got a moody on (geddit!!)

Jowler
My Missus blames me for everything that goes wrong mate, It's like water off a ducks back! Where have we heard that before?

He's probably avin a laarf with his pal Arry. They both live in " Sandbanks" mostly consists of Mansions and Millionaires.

Great, now we are really in it. How does the linesman from that side miss that blatant handball from Wigan for the winner. As Frazer said "we're doomed, we're all doomed"

It was originally the 3 year plan. When that didn't happen it then became the 10 year plan.

Pulis the master of spin and bullshit!

To be honest guys,
I've not even bothered to look/check who plays whom re the remaining fixtures.. that........ should not be a problem but WHERE the hell do we get another win from?
ONLY SEVEN Pts above Wigan and they have a game in hand.

Worse still Pulis does not give a ****
