Not sure why people are so surprised. TM said after the Blackburn game he’d be fully rotating the squad. 3 games in like 7/8 days is pretty fully on. Not many players can do 90mins x 3 and play consistently. We also have had a few lads injured lately, and a few drop out the other day.
Strange choices or great management. A few too many changes imo and so for that reason I am amending my score from 0-7 to 0-5
He's literally made two changes that weren't enforced by the look of it, and they are to rest Stewart and Evans. And with Evans not on the bench and so many attackers on there, I reckon he may be injured anyway. So not sure why people think Mowbray has made loads of changes.
Not surprising that we've had to rotate a bit. Evans isn't up to 3 games in 6 days, Stewart isn't fully fit yet, full backs are injured and Pritch isn't fully back. Don't see many alternative choices.
Well that’s an interesting team Not much experience in the middle Think we will miss Evans. Just hope the young lads are up to it. Worry a bit about TM changing so much so often. Would like to see us develop a strong core that we can rotate the young lads around Very difficult to string results together when the team keeps changing so much. Really looks like this is a year for developing the players rather than creating a settled team Still it’s been an enjoyable ride so far let’s see what tonight brings
Roberts is the one most surprising to me. I would have kept him in and played a 2 in midfield personally.
Really looking forward to getting a good look at Michut. In the glimpses we've had so far I've liked him, rarely gives the ball away.
I get that, but also that would expose whichever of Ba or Michut went in there as one of the two. Having both in there as part of a three gives them a bit more solidity, especially with wing backs either side. Having a more attack minded player instead of them would have meant our midfield would be overloaded easily. I expect it will be quite a fluid system.
Ha way man. 3 games in 6 days is mental. Players need to rest up/rotate. Big night for Ba and Michut. Looks like 352 with hopefully Michut and Amad the ones closest to Simms.
Fair play mate. Can see both arguments. Mowbray doesnt get much wrong in my opinion, and will be looking at games beyond tonight. Knowing us we will come out of tonight saying Ba and Michut are class and need to play every week. Hope so anyway. Looking forward to seeing a bit more of Hume too, he has looked a talent to me so far.
Neil was outstanding against Blackburn I thought. He seems to be really rounding out his game, and even being a talker on the pitch. Hope he does well tonight and plays like a leader. Still think he is a prem player in waiting, but we do have fans who seem to look for his weaknesses rather than his strengths. Another major test in his development tonight, like you say.
