Oh dear, like Liverpool at Loftus Road last season, WBA have rolled over - fair play to Reading, hate it though.
Ffs, that's ruined my day. Couldn't see that coming at all.. Puts a different perspective on the Spurs result.
This all day long. However in the car and they were 2-0 down then get in 3-2? Lets not worry about them they will go down because they are not good enough (even with todays result). We have taken 4 points off 2 top 4 teams and for me that outshines any results today. WE will be ok under Arry.
It makes no difference to me. We can't be relying on all the other teams being as sh*t as us so we can keep in touch. Sooner or later we have to start winning games or we're gone, its as simple as that.
Swords is right, it is up to us, need to put points on the board and not rely on others to help out. Huge result for reading, wba should have been out of sight....still 3pts next week will help whu appear poor atm.
That's true. It's just west brom were looking so comfortable... I watched the whole game- and it was thoroughly enjoyable up until Reading pulled one back. Reading were terrible, WBA looked far the better side. Lukaku even hit the post and bar. It was such an inexplicable comeback, and i'd already started to Relax and enjoy how the table was going to look on MOTD... Gutting, but what can you do. Like you say- it's up to us now!
This old argument again. Nothing wrong with hoping others don't do well...especially now when we're playing catch up, as long as you don't get obsessed with it. We may well do it all by ourselves which is obviously plan A. Still nice to have Plan B available where we maybe haven't got as many points as we'd hope but at least others haven't either. For me personally seeing other teams still win won't ruin my weekend at all...but if they lose it's more the icing on the cake for when we do well.
That's why it's futile hoping other teams lose to make us feel better. At the end of the day - the last game of the season - what will matter is the number of points we have, not the banana skins our current co-strugglers slip on or avoid. They may not be the ones who will figure at the end.
What Harry can conjure up in the transfer market just becomes that much more important, particularly with Nelsen off. Still 16 games and all to play for
Grifter the guy on the radio said Reading were shocking with 15 to go. I guess WBA fell apart or something i don't know but As long as we win our games and get decent draws we will be okay. Villa are now in it big time and Reading aren't good enough. Games like West Ham away is where we need to get points and of course beat the relegation fodder. Don't let this result dampen a great day for us.
Didn't watch the whole game, just the highlights - wow, 3 goals in 8 mins for Reading. Déjà vu Liverpool's visit to Loftus Road last sesaon. As Swords indicates though, we have to start winning games ourselves, which means scoring goals, chalking up 3 pointers, especially when we encounter our relegation rivals.
Well, I'm on the opposite side of this from most. Reading coming back like that could really be a massive kick start for them. There are only a handful of teams that we can finish above and Reading are one of them. We're now 2 points behind them instead of 1 ahead. How the hell can that make no difference?
You're right, cheers mate i feel a bit better for reading that I suppose ultimately it was a smash and grab for Reading. They still didn't show anything in this performance to suggest they've got enough to get out of trouble. It was against a weakened WBA side- no mulumbu or long. Villas confidence must be shattered too. Fingers crossed for next week
Agree Col but Harry had set us up to score today, we would have been ripped to shreds (probably). Could have done with Reading losing but as others have said, it is only in our hands over the next few games now.
After what was a good point for us today I've just caught up with the 3pm games and now it feels more like a defeat with the fake hoops grabbing 3pts
