<doh> even worse but thanks mate.
I have a pretty easy journey to the 'Meccano Stadium', normally my mate gives me a lift but i know due to family stuff he does not do Sundays so i guess i will get the train and sit with all the Chelsea/Arsenal/Spurs/WestHam/ManU fans who will support MK Reading for the Day (their local team).

Lucky i was born in London and only moved out this way or i could have been a 'Plastic' too? <yikes>

I took your advice Ellers and booked flights to see the Everton away match for the lad instead. 44 euro return. Much better value. Irish R's, 44 euro Dublin to Liverpool day trip. Anyone else fancy it?

Always liked Everton away esp in the late 80's when we won.

I have a great story about that day went up on my own hoping to meet a few there (in those days i was a teen and naive) got to the station and saw no QPR so i thought i would try the local pub, i was under age but thought why not? Went in and bought a beer (well shandy) and the place was full of Everton fans and me speaking like David Cameron was well out of place.

Anyway i thought i'm going to die here when i saw a QPR fan that i knew, being stupid i shouted out his name and the whole pub looked at him and his face dropped (he hated me for that).

Anyway he said 'i think we better leave' and i said "but you haven't finished your pint" <doh> Just then A bloke came over to us and said 'Are you QPR fans'? I said 'yes' and he said 'are you going to the game'? I said 'yes' again thinking this doesn't look too good but to our relief he said 'i'm a taxi driver and i can give you a lift'. He took us to the ground and picked us up after and took us back to the station and said 'Get home safely lads'. Top bloke and top day.

Sadly the other QPR fan who is probably known by a few on here and a lot of QPR fans passed away 2-3 years ago. Top bloke and will never forget Everton away that day.

I know. Sir Les always seemed to score against them. Did he get a hat-trick up there?

Just checked the dates for the FA Cup Northy.

Oldham V Everton in the 5th round is on this weekend. The 6th round is due to be held on 16th March. The semi finals are then on 13/14th April.

So, Everton will have to beat Oldham and then win a 6th round match for our game to be affected. It is still quite likely they will reach the semi final (if they get a kind draw in the 6th round) but less likely than if they just have to beat Oldham.

    Hopefully, they get knocked out.

Nice area Oxfordhire. Where i live is quiet and nice but sadly 5 mins up the road is Bracknell <yikes> although you meet a lot of Rangers there.

That's just bloody typical. Our yearly 'Rangers lads beano weekend' is scheduled for the Everton game. Hotels all booked in Chester :(.

Fin- If it does go ahead that date when you getting there ?? Fancy a drink in Chester the night before ??

    Thanks a lot Staines.

We are just doing a day trip. Arrive about 8.15am the day of the match and then head to the airport after the match.

If the match gets postponed, we'll go and have a good day out in Liverpool.

Can meet you in Liverpool that morning. It is years since I was there so open to recommendations.

I wont say a definate yes to a morning meet up in Liverpool 'cos the last few occasions on our beano's i've had to be dragged out of bed after a heavy night on the Friday (Forest away one year was probably the worst hangover i have EVER had and nearly missed the game :) )
Nearer the time we can sort out numbers and meet up at the game or before if i'm not too bad.
