As if we all didn't love Pardew enough already, I reckoned Whickham would be most difficult of all to shift - long contract, high wages, serial underachiever (at least with us). No loss for me, frees up a forward spot and plenty of wages for a replacement more akin to Advocaats way of thinking

We paid 8.5m before he'd even kicked a ball in the Premiership. I'd be disappointed too but also relieved we've got rid of one of the 3 amigos.

I for one are not happy with this, it's players in not out that's needed and certainly in before out. I honestly believe this lad could become a very good premiership player.
