TBH I think Wichelow may have been helped by the 5 sub rule, when 7 subs he sits on the bench for the majority of the time, now he has the chance to go and prove he can play good 90 minute matches consitantly and then come back to watford and stake the 1st team place that I think he has looked worthy of
Could be right there , however still hoping we see something of him this season! anything else and he has taken a backward step!
Indeed its good for him to go out, get a bit more fitness and a bit more development at a lower level. Sadly for Matt our squad looks a lot deeper this year, meaning the youngsters are going to struggle to get a look in. However, its a long season and i have on doubt that he will be used.
I dont think he will have been helped by the rule as such. He does get to gain experience else where, but its not the same as he would gain here. In some ways having 90mins at a Lg1 match is good, but then again having 20mins at a Champ match is also good. He is going to be called upon to play at this level, not the league below, so the exp there is not the same.
Yes but he is getting game time, which will help him in the long run, pointless being on the fringes if he is not going to be used on a regular basis. At this stage of his career it's time on the pitch which counts, lower level never the less, but he should be used very game whilst on loan.
I cant see him not playing a part some time this year, there is still a long time to go, second half of the season and we'll see
he was ill at the start of the season H , has fully recovered now , is fit but needs game time to sharpen up ,thats all!
lol sometimes i wonder if you're his agent Norway ...still, i'm looking forward to seeing him play in the future..he's going to be fab!
