Not sure if this has been covered as I've been off for a few days, but how would Nolan pass a medical? He just had surgery and was on crutches.

AAAAAHH, NEWCASTLE UNITED ARE DEAD. RING THE BELLS, SOUND THE ALARMS, ALERT THE AUTHORITIES. Let’s all take a deep breath and put the internet down for a while.

This is what happens when you reject a contract offer which matches your wage demands in the hope you get more years even though your current contract runs for another 2.

Look back to the articles at the end of the season, Nolan wasn't even in a lot of people's first XI. What he brings to the dressing room is unquestionable, and he does have a knack of scoring goals, but does he offer much more to the team? Does dressing room banter justify £50k a week for 5 years? I'm not sure.
