Why?

See this is the problem with the Champions League, it sets supporters thinking towards false fantasies. It's called Champions League for a reason, it's the trophy of National Club CHAMPIONS. Now unless i've been time warped into a parallel universe when were Spurs ever fooking Champions!

I think the problem with Tottenham supporters they are suffering from something called the Mandela Effect.....relating to where lots of people thought Nelson Mandela had died in prison. Much the same as Tottenham supporters thinking they have won a trophy, when they haven't and their entry into the Champions League is merely based on subtle rule bending to help them out, since the demise of the European Cup.

Tbf teams have won the CL having not won the league for ages. Much as they're our rivals, nobody can say Liverpool winning the CL in 2005 did anything but raise the profile of the competition, they finished 5th were nowhere near the favourites when they beat Olympiakos iirc in the final game of the group stages.

So it's not really the Champions of Champions anymore, and Spurs are just imposters, thanks for clarifying the situation <ok>

Oh dear, Kipper's wheeling out the **** memes

A sure sign he's losing it. We might get a flounce off before the night is out :)

Never said they were, that was you. They could go on to win it, as much as any of the other English sides who didn't win the league. Nowt wrong with that <ok>

So it's the not so Champions League trophy, you don't have to be Champions to actually enter it, but as long has you can finish above Arsenal they can dream, as i said mate, thanks for clarifying that Spurs are nothing but a bunch of pretenders and the rules had to to be modified from the European Cup to the Champions League to give Tottenham supporters any chance of ever entering and dreaming the dream.

<laugh> I don't think the rules were changed for Spurs lol. Whatever it is, they're still in it and could win it. You might have had a point if they'd been knocked out. And HIAG with his views doesn't remotely speak for most Spurs fans.

I hear what you are saying bro, but it's all fantasy, Spurs can't even beat a tinpot team like Southampton, they stand no chance against the true Champions Elite, they've got lucky up until now. Imagine right, an injury to their penalty taker, their fooked, because that's how they score, duck and dive in the box, up steps Del Boy Kane, and the NFL fans dream again.
