I watched the documentary about Sports Direct the other day and the warehouse full of Polish migrants on zero hour contracts looked like something from WW2 .
Ashley is a billionaire and could afford to pay his workers a decent wage with set hours and holiday pay.
He doesn't because he doesn't have to and more and more businesses will follow suit with disposable staff with no rights.

That's the point isn't it. I ran a garage/car sales business from '85 on. We were making good money and I used to pay way over the going rate. I paid my car valeter a skilled mechanic's wage and still made enough to live comfortably. Ashley could well afford to pay £9 an hour.

Even the most esteemed Left wing organ is reporting today that the Tories are forging ahead in the Polls!

    http://www.theguardian.com/politics...ls-tories-clearly-edging-ahead-in-final-weeks

The Tories just need to attract their natural support away from UKIP in the critical Labour Tory marginals such as Waveney and Yarmouth, Warwickshire North, Dudley North, Bolton West fir example. The good news for the Tories is that after the election debates the main focus of attention was in the economy and on Miliband boxing himself into a corner on the SNP!

What you are not taking into account is the poll skewing effect of Scotland. Because the SNP are polling 50%+ the effect is to push the Labour share down by around 2% nationwide. Don't forget The Tories were 36% to Labour's 29% in 2010 and failed to secure a majority. I can assure you that poll returns in Waveney point to a substantial Labour majority in the 4-5,000 range. And I don't read this left wing poll the same as you. It would surely be in their interest to try to get the Labour vote out by saying they were behind.

I have to say that as an old campaigner, this lively discussion of the issues behind the rhetoric is thoroughly refreshing, especially as it takes place on a football forum. The total myth of 'austerity' deserves to be exposed as just another excuse for cuts, cuts and then more cuts. It's a pity that the LibDems are prepared to prop the Tories up to propagate that myth.

There is no austerity I completely agree with you!

How can there be when we are borrowing 10s of Billions a year.

Savage cuts? You're having a laugh!

I would like to think that me and my chums could go to Vegas and gamble my families life savings drinking Champagne and snorting coke off high class hookers with my winnings.
When the inevitable happens and I piss the lot away accumilating a huge debt, the Government would bail me out paying it all off with tax payers money.
Then bankrolling me to go back out on the tables to try my luck all over again Like these city boy spivs are doing .

Afterwards we can all blame the poor and disabled for having the cheek to want to be housed and fed by the state.

The banking crisis and austerity myth is the biggest scam ever pulled off and people are gullible enough to believe the lies they are spoon fed.
