Does your disagreeing with me make me call you an objectionable twat.

Are you really not at all thankful you have a pacemaker when the vast majority in the world would have died.

That is what your NHS pays for in times of hardship.
Shut up complaining about how bad you have it, many would not of even had the chance.

When the crash happened we were in a lesser prepared state than we could have been, Labour had unnecessarily increased public spending to a reckless level.

It was Wilson that devalued the pound, Brown sold our gold reserves at the lowest level and Blair saddled the UK with terribly negotiated PPI deals which are still costing the NHS a fortune, sheer incompetence.

Add to that the GPs contracts that paid them huge amounts of money for doing less! No Weekends working for example and we wonder why the A&E departments are so rammed at the Weekends! <doh>

This has to be the worst campaign ever surely! Any Tory leader worth his salt would have battered Miliband but to think that there is every chance that he will have failed to beat both Brown AND Miliband (failing to get a majority Conservative Government) shows how poor he is and how out of touch as a whole the Tory party are with the country. I know that the Greens, UKIP and other smaller parties won't get hardly any seats but the fragmentation of the old system is here to stay and coalitions will probably be the order of the day in the future. The one exception I reckon could be next election (after this one) because I serously think that whoever wins and cobbles together a rag bag of parties will fail miserably and the 'other' main party will hoover up in about 2 years time when the rainbow fails completely, by which time the economy will be back on its arse. The medium term winner could very well be the Tories under Boris.

Cameron now blaming his speechwriter. Well,it's easy to see how it could happen to any of us. Speechwriter "I hope you support Ipswich Town" Well any of us would just read that out wouldn't we? Cameron shown up as a phoney I think.

The speechwriter had already claimed it was an ad-lib not contained in the actual speech! Whoops-a-daisy! <laugh>

Which one? The LD's are heading for total wipeout. I liked Gary Lineker's introduction of Villa as West Ham!

The spending plans were fully supported by the Tories and would have caused no problem had the world recession, caused by the Banks, not happened. It was the banks that were reckless not the Government. The other issues are, within the general run of things, minor issues. It can be argued that in those instances some money was wasted but, looking back with hindsight you can say that about every Government. None of the issues you mention caused long term damage to the economy so again I would like proof of your bold statement that it ' happens every time with Labour and they never have a credible fiscal policy' If you want cases of wasting money by bad decisions look very hard at Thatchers reign. Moving defence potential from the Falklands encouraged Argentina to invade - how much did the subsequent war cost? 100 years of secure energy lost irretrievably in the ground because of her hatred of the working class. Need I go on?

I'm guessing you are wasting your time 1950. The Tories have hammered the point so that those who don't have a more than simplistic grasp of economics just accept it.It is the Tory strategy to lie about their opponents in a quite shameless manner. The only thing is, judging by the static polls,it's probably not working. They had planned to have a consistent 5 point lead by this stage and they have nothing. I don't blame Boris for positioning himself to pick the corpse before it has drawn it's last breath. Their campaign manager Lynton Crosby is the man to blame,he overestimated the gullibility of the electorate.
