Before I abandoned the UK, and for many years before that, ALL our home league cup midweek games were played on a Tuesday night, anyone know why this has changed?

Perhaps because we played on Sunday, to give us some recovery time!
Now when I were a lad, all Norwich City's midweek games at home were on a Wednesday with a 7.15pm kick off, 10 minutes half time, and not 4 minutes added time so you got home that evening without having to go straight to work after the match!
You were lucky, we had to live in a cardboard box on the side of the A11.
A CARDBOARD BOX??? A CARDBOARD BOX, we used to dream of the opulence of living in a cardboard box especially on prime real estate like that. Bloody wealthy landowners.....

Nah, I am like the majority, I ignore the League Cup until the QF's![]()

so in your eyes, norwich haven't even entered the league cup since about 1996

All this changing days of fixtures reminds me of when Dave Jones (I thinK) made a huge fuss about us getting an extra days rest for a game towards the tail end of our promotion season. Conveniently forgetting that we had also suffered from a congested fixture list earlier that season!

Ah yes, that was a good Thursday through to the end of the weekend![]()
