Before I abandoned the UK, and for many years before that, ALL our home league cup midweek games were played on a Tuesday night, anyone know why this has changed?
Maybe UEFA asked us to re-schedule the game so that no one mistakes Norwich v Doncaster for a Champions League tie on a Tues night.
Now when I were a lad, all Norwich City's midweek games at home were on a Wednesday with a 7.15pm kick off, 10 minutes half time, and not 4 minutes added time so you got home that evening without having to go straight to work after the match!
A CARDBOARD BOX??? A CARDBOARD BOX, we used to dream of the opulence of living in a cardboard box especially on prime real estate like that. Bloody wealthy landowners..... Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah but we could only afford to eat cold gravel chips that pierced holes in our luxurious cardboard box
Sounds about right I think the last LC game I went to was when were humiliated at home to Cheltenham Town! I gave the LC as a bad job at that point, if the club and team could not take it seriously then neither could I
The League Cup used to be very productive for us. Binners please note. 1 win over two legs, two Wembley losses and then a Wembley win. Plus one other semi final and various QF's.
All this changing days of fixtures reminds me of when Dave Jones (I thinK) made a huge fuss about us getting an extra days rest for a game towards the tail end of our promotion season. Conveniently forgetting that we had also suffered from a congested fixture list earlier that season!
Do you mean when we beat Ip5w1ch on Thu and then beat Derby on Monday to wipe the smile off Colin's face?? There were some VERY drunk people down Riverside after both games!!!!!
Oi! I've made a commitment to attend every one of Norwich's League Cup matches this season! I suffered Scunthorpe (although I was there when Lappin scored, and I suppose that was worth the admission), and I just bought my ticket for Doncaster... This will continue until we either a) draw Newcastle away in the next round, or b) rise ticket prices to about £25 a pop - one of those two is impending I fear. Either that, or we'll lose 3-0 to Donny - that seems most likely given our recent League Cup form...
