Yes, I stand corrected on my original wrong guess that Shrewsbury fans would have to use Ticketmaster to buy their Valley tickets. I edited the first paragraph of my post just after you quoted me. So CAFC allocated those 3,066 tickets directly to Shrewsbury Town, who have made them available directly to their own fans. The upshot of which is that the away fans coming to the Valley on Thursday have probably found it easier to buy their tickets than a large number of our home supporters. That is not a good situation when we surely want as many home supporters inside the Valley on Thursday to get behind the team in this vital semi-final.
Is this match a prelude to Ticketmaster being involved in ticket sales at the Valley long term? I gather Fulham may already use them for ticket sales?
It's possible. If so, the Club should note carefully all the effects of using Ticketmaster on this occasion, including the difficulties faced by older fans who may not have internet access or the ability to use sites like Ticketmaster. Our life-long supporters should be respected and helped to continue to support the team. If Fulham are using it, I wonder what measures they have in place to assist eldery fans and others who for whatever reason may not be able to buy tickets online and print them at home.
Proof, as if it were needed, that the Editorial line on Into The Apologist is phoney. Some cracking comments in the thread about real fans actual experiences today. 82% (so far) think Duchatelet-Murray have fvcked up, again. I think I will take their word for it ahead of a Cardiff fan from Wrexham, two geriatric stools (Jeddez & Jonkool )and Gelan, the man with no bolloks from Ludlow.
