Pardew would leave if another club came in for him. Anyone with any self-respect would, rather than work for Ashley. Unfortunately for us fans we have no such choice, but I don't blame anyone with no emotional attachment to the club (basically everyone who's left apart from Carroll) for leaving.

What's he supposed to say? "The club have told me the money will be spent, but I think they're bullshitting"? "The club have told me to tell you the money will be spent, but have told me it actually won't"?

He'll lose his job if he doesn't play ball.

To be honest I feel like about 90% of our problems at the minute stem from Llambias. His bullshit stirs up so much dirt it's unreal, my biggest gripes with Ashley are his trashy branding of our stadium and decision to let Puma make our strips, though the new home and third kit are pretty decent looking, the quality is gash. Last season's were ****e too.

    Saints fan here.
He did a good job at saints getting players in,rebuilding a squad he had loads of cash to spend fair enough but what I didn't like was the total!Long ball crap instead of passing football that our chairman has said out in his so called vision! To be fair that Pardew picks out great 'unknown' players and good bargains,i.e Cabaye,Santon...etc all tremendous players.
But his social skills are pretty poor.Pardew is such a tedious, monotonous and overrated manager in my opinion.
He should be managing in league 2 not premier league. He is an alright manager.

Didn't realise there was any hatred for him to be honest? He is just doing his job and has done fairly well. I was non plussed when we got him but its not his fault if players are sold and the players he wants don't come in. His interview yesterday made it quite clear, he gave his targets to the board, obviously had been given the indication one would come in, they didn't. He isn't the guy negotiating price and pushing the button to release funds. He wanted to keep Barton but again he does not negotiate contracts. Barton wanted to stay. The board didn't want him, Pardew has to bow to their wishes. He probably in an ideal world wanted to keep Carroll but had to bow to the boards wish to sell him for what was an amazing fee. He probably hoped he wouldn't be sold and said those things in good faith. But things change and he bowed to their wishes in the belief he'd get money to get a top class replacement and strengthen the team. I'm struggling to see where he is at fault? It seems to me he has been achieving decent results despite being handicapped by the board! Not really a basis for hating someone.

He's had us playing decent passing football to be fair, it's not exactly Barca style, but it's far, far away from Stoke.

I feel sorry for the bloke. He relays what he is told by Llambias, then Llambias does the complete opposite, making Pards look like he's the one who cocked up. The guy is in an impossible situation, but credit to him, he's making the best of it.

Below average manager with a less than average track record and a continuous liar. Not a massive fan personally.

    Agreed.

You can **** with players and managers and get away with it, but trashing up SJP, that REALLY boils my blood. He's ruining one of the most beautiful stadiums in thu UK.

    And, yeah, bring back Adiddas

I certainly don't see what anybodies complaining about. he was always gonna be up against it after the way hughtons was booted out and he knew himself straight away that the newcastle fans hardly thought of him as a marquee signing. he's had players sold/transferred over his head in carroll and barton. he's signed a dynamic and pacey midfield to replace the pedestrian one we had last year. he's shored up the defence (although not in number) and he likes to play football the right way. his results have been pretty decent considering all this. he's had the balls rto come out and be honest and frank in press conferences even when he must know he's making himself look a berk at times but has to pay lip service. all in all i'm pretty pleased with him and how things are progressing.

You have to feel sorry for the bloke. He was well aware of what we needed in terms of players coming in and made the board aware of what he wanted. He also made the fans aware of what he wanted via the media.

The fact that the board are inept at transfer discussions (7 months for ****s sake) makes Pardew look like a mug for saying what he needs and not getting it. If i was managing Newcastle and the above happened I couldn't keep my mouth shut and say nothing. Pards saying nothing does make him look like a 'puppet' but if he was to say anything about it he would be an enemployed puppet. Personally I don't think any the man can bite his tongue for much longer. We still have the January transfer window and it would not surprise me if we still had a vacant no9 shirt come February along with a vacant manager slot for that reason.

While I also at the same time understand why people hate Pards but they need to realise who the **** would want to come in and work under this current regime at Newcastle??

Answers on a postage stamp please.

Still don't know why Saints sacked him, but we are an unusual club in that most supporters trust the Chairman (Nicola Cortese) and assume there must have been a good reason.

Charlton fans hate him with ac passion, but then lots of them wanted Curbishley out, and look what happened when they got their wish.

Dont hate he has a difficult job working for Ashley. With no striker bought will be interesting to see how we progress under Pardew and what style we end up playing.
