Yes terrified. A team who hasnt finished ahead of us since 2010 and has done so just once since 2006..... by a point despite outspending us 3/1. very scared indeed. I didnt mention them because thy didnt need mentioning...... Rooney got 11 in the league, Ronaldo 9 all season and Scholes 9 in the league I think. We scored 58 goals. tells you what you need to know about that United side.
Cos our squad back then, and in general from 01 to 06, was a perfect example of some good individuals over a good team. RVN was the classic example - great player who scored lots of goals but never really lifted us as a team and, as I've said before, we were weaker as a result of our reliance on him. We had some good individuals, but nowhere near the squad depth and balance we have now. A few great players may win you a few trophies, but will not give you the squad needed to win the league. It wasn't until we added VDS, Park, Evra, Vidic and Carrick in 05/06 that we got a squad that could compete with Chelsea, and then we won the league. That's ignoring the fact that Rooney and Ronaldo were nowhere near their prime in 04/05.
please log in to view this image yeahh Moyes is the one who has been sacked after just UTD had a half decent squad in 2006 and win the title and yeah Moyes is the one who run away after disappointing spell in Real
The chavs, deep down think the PL is nailed on next year, queue a billion excuses if Jose doesn't do as well as Rafa this year, that would be ****ing poetic justice No doubt another 100m+ to be spent this summer as well, but hey, Monaco are worse, there aren't as many billionaires in monaco as there are chavs in London they say. One Monaco fan has more class than the entire SB crowd as shown this season just gone
And you have the nerve to talk about class. Just when I thought that this thread is the stupidest ever, yu of all people come along and lower it even more.
Stupidest ever eh? because someone suggested Jose might not be the all mighty Chelsea fans expect? I understand
I of all people, as if I was of some higher standing amongst you lot of plastic flag waving suv driving soccer moms who had to be paid to cheer for your own ****ing team. I have nothing against Chelsea FC nor its owner, but you lot are without doubt the worst fans in the PL as demonstrated by your stadium going supporters this season, even reporters have mentioned how ****ing stupid ye are when many post on line and even on your board that Rafa got you out of the CL, that's the measure of intelligence on your board. It will be funny as **** when Jose spends another 150 mil of roman's cash and he does worse than rafa did as in no PL and no European trophy, although if you lot finish 2nd and have a run in the CL footy next year you will try in vein to explain in your own plastic way how that was better than rafa's stint. What really gets me is when you lot try maintain your stance over Rafa after he got you some silverware and CL by saying oh we were 3 points behind UNited when he took over as if taking over a new management job is like loading someone else's championship manager save, it just shows first of all how pathetically thick you chavs are and secondly how you just cannot back down even when proved totally wrong. What is mega pathetic is you lot were slagging off rafa for while a while before he mentioned plastic flags but as soon as he gives you chavs a bit of stick back he's a baaad man, you had been calling him fsw well before he said plastic flag waving turds So i really do not understand the weirdo stance you lot took there,
While my suggestion Jose was only left with the option of chelsea might not be entirely true there is of course a large element of truth in their. Only a few clubs are big enough for him yet many of them have recently hired new managers and he sort of messed things up at the one hes at Barcelona would rather fold as a football club than have Jose anywhere near them and the team set to do rather well over the next few year just hired the manager who did rather well at the club who has dominated football for the last half decade. So where could Jose of gone considering his position at Madrid was untenable. Answer that and then we can laugh at my suggestion. Otherwise......... whether I am being entirely serious or not, Jose didnt have much choice. i have absolutely no concerns that not one chelsea fan has an answer, not a single one but good luck to each of you.
Was Jose offered the United job? why would United hire someone who comes in for 3 years and leaves a club in a dire state when he leaves, it took the chavs 5 years and half a billion to recover from Jose's love affair
Nope though I have no doubts he was considered. His antics at real cost him the chance though and it was clear during the United/real games he was desperate for the job at United. Should Moyes fail and united go and ask Mourinho if he wants the job, he will leave Chelsea without a second thought. Its why he never ever considered City, go their and he would never manage United.
Never wanted to go there. His daughter is at Uni in London and his preference was to be close to her. He has property in London and had been looking around for more since last year (at least). This is all made up BS by United fans that are trying to massage their egos having been turned down two of Europe's elite managers. Mourinho was just the beginning. His job was always to take us to the next level. He no doubt wanted to move on to explore other cultures and win other leagues, that was his ambition. He is now older, more mature and feels he has achieved what he wants to. He is returning now to a club that is far bigger than when he left and I suspect he'll stay for the long haul and then eventually move on to manage the national team. It hurts United to know they aren't in the same bracket as Real Madrid or Barca. Those are the only two clubs that people "dream" of going to. Mourinho always said he would return to Chelsea, even at Inter.
My my your levels of delusion are staggering. Not a chance that will happen. Just accept you aren't as big as you like to believe and can no longer attract marquee signings. Barca and Madrid are far bigger clubs than anyone else in their league (and in Europe bar Bayern). The playing field is more level in England. There are 9 or 10 big clubs.
This one knows him personally you see, he phoned district line first to tell him all this information. Utter ****ing rubbish from the head of a ridiculous bullshiter of course but what can you do, this is the internet and it's full of toss pots posting ****e. I'm glad Mourinho is back, he's a character. He guarantees Chelsea absolutely **** all of course but no doubt he'll give it a good go. Good luck to him and them, they've a massive gap to make up so they'll need it.
It depends on who you ask. According to Portuguese tabloids he was offered the job and turned it down According to Spanish tabloids he was dreaming of managing Utd and only started talking to Chelsea after Moyes got the Utd job According to the S*n he told SAF he was leaving Real back in March and that he wanted to go back to Chelsea, so Utd never considered him for the job Take your pick from those. Personally I reckon Mourinho would probably have fancied the Utd job - along with Bayern it's the biggest job he could hope to have given that Barca will never employ him. But I reckon he was put off by his experiences at Madrid - seems like the constant media attention and problems with the fans have taken its toll and he's fallen out of love with the game a wee bit this season. You could tell from his "I just want to go where people love me" press conference a few weeks ago. Chelsea is definitely the easier option for him at this stage. He could turn up at SB on the opening day next season, take a **** on the pitch, burn a Chelsea flag, call Lampard a fat sack of ****, and punch Terry in the face and the fans would still love him without question. But if he comes to Utd and struggles like he did at Real then the fans probably won't be so forgiving, and I doubt he'll fancy the same media storm and fan problems that he had at Real. If he has a happy few years at Chelsea and rediscovers his love of the game, and Moyes struggles at Utd, I could see Mourinho looking to move to OT in a few years.
Cos he has no coherent argument or considered point of view, so he has to resort to calling people names. You'll know you've got the better of him when he makes up a name for you
likes in cuckoo land does DL doesnt he. United are alongside Real Madrid as the biggest club on earth. Bigger than Barcelona, Bayern, Liverpool and everyone else but Real Madrid.
