They don't just provide local phone and broadband services in Hull, they're a nationwide company now.
angus young @angus_young61 Breaking news: Name change for the KC Stadium - it will soon be the KCOM Stadium.
At least with our stadium called the KCOM Stadium and KR's called the Lightstream Stadium, there should be less confusion... http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...KCOM-Stadium/story-28962649-detail/story.html
I knew about this particular name change a few weeks ago, the bloke I sit next to in the North Stand mentioned it (he works for KC). Sworn to secrecy like. I didn't think it would happen until season end though. As OLM said, it should help lower confusion.
There's so many secrets and things not to be told in the stadium it should be called pandora's box ( or circle if you prefer )
It's gone public now as they are informing customers of the rebranding. The logo was announced internally some weeks ago, and will be a nice shade of amber.
Stoke City's Britannia Stadium to be renamed Bet365 Stadium from next season. I bet that'll go down well.
Apparently, there's a dispute over the stadium naming rights and that's why City and FC are still calling it the KC Stadium.
Don't know anything about a dispute but I'm pretty sure it was never meant to change name until a bit later on. Maybe end of the season.
KCOM announced that the stadium was to be renamed from the 4th April, but City are refusing to acknowledge it... please log in to view this image
I'm pretty sure there was some issue with 90 days notice being required to change it. The KCOM rebound was 4th April. But there were multiple phases the last of which finishes in July I think. I think the stadium was part of that.
Probably legal stuff. A change will need to made to the original naming agreement and the Allams won't want to pay legal costs at their end. I can imagine it's something like that.
