Off Topic Why is BBC4 TV such a brilliant DOCUMENTARY channel ?

I watched the 1st two episodes of Inside Room 301 last night .
Looking pretty good

 

That ginge kid is a great actor

 

Line of Duty is starting again at the end of March. Hope it's as good as the previous ones, the last series in particular was gripping and incredibly well written.

 

They've all been great, the last one you refer to was the one with Steven Graham which was excellent.

I'm sure the new one won't disappoint.

 

Binge watched it on iplayer. Is very good with some twists and turns.

Meant to watch that and never got round to it. Will have a look to fulfil the need for good subtitled stuff.

Watched 'The Terror' on BBC iplayer this week. Really enjoyed it and it's very binge-able, 10 x 40min episodes.

Goes back a while though, so probs a waste of time.

 

It was obvious it was produced by the BBC as it went out on the BBC. Sort of thing that wouldn't get made now, you needed to pay attention and not full of explosions car chases and fights. Better than the book as Sartre can be somewhat overblown and pretentious.

 

I read Sartre at University.

Although to be fair I use the imagery of a gnarled tree root as an explanation of the fact that the Universe is ruled by chance and indifference and the imagery of reflecting an image of myself in another person's eyes as being a symbol of how we are trapped within the constraints of each others contingent existence, on a daily basis.

Ah, my time at uni was spent on Husserl, Heidegger and Nietzsche, considerably less Gallic. All twats of some sort though, first two, at least.
