Yeah I picked up on a fair bit of mafia links / rumours in Toronto t’other week. Wasn’t expecting that to be honest
Bit lightweight, not dark enough. How come there's never anyone in the streets where he lives, like it's a deserted film set?
I've asked myself that question too. Think they've all buggered off to Norwich ! Far from lightweight. Give it a chance.
I used to go to Sicily on business selling Mackerel to the Swordfish fishermen for bait. The seafood restaurants were wonderful, but the place had a run down feeling about it as if nothing had been spent to repair anything for decades. P.S. What made it more enjoyable was Yana Brake (daughter of the owner of Brake Bros) was my contact there, her mother was Italian and Yana was living there. What a looker she was.
Total agree on those Swedish selections, as long as you mean the original Swedish version of Wallander and not the Kenneth Branagh rehash.
Yeah theres a few like that . The Bridge and Line of Duty tend to have empty streets ? Still great series though
Rather sad news for anyone who has watch This Country, which I thought was brilliant, the actor Michael Sleggs who plays Slug has been diagnosed with terminal cancer at 33. I wish him the best of luck and hope for the best for him.
Anyway !! I ****ed off the CL Final on Saturday night and watched Insp Montalbano ! Was quite enjoying it until like you said nobody on the streets !! WTF ?? Superb seafront and not a person in site . He even went into a town centre and there was one person ! This seems to be the new way of making drama as most of these new ones have hardly any people on the streets
The Allam way - why pay for extras ? I felt it was somewhat diluted compared to previous series, which I loved.
1st one I've seen ! Much prefer Cardinal ! It'll be Interesting to see what's coming up . Wouldn't mind another series of Salamander
I was a little disappointed with Cardinal, despite being a Canadian effort. Mainly the acting - no passion.
A friend of mine went to Sicily three years ago. He had never watched Montalbano so I said to him have a look. He said although Palermo and cities were bustling some places during the heat of the day were like that. Hard to see it as it is on the TV as where he is shown in his apartment and where the police station and the place where a lot of the scenes are shot. He actually went to the place where he supposedly lives, by accident not design. His apartment is a holiday place you can rent at a not too high a price.
