it would be ludicrous to sack him, all you have to look at, is his past. <ok>

We will definitely make it past this blip.

Some of you are very fickle :( Bruce had two and a bit seasons, to sack MON when he still hasn't completed 1 season is very unfair imo

The biggest thing for me is the lack of good partnerships, the best safc teams always had good partnerships. Quinn Phillips. Johnston gray etc. The 2 centre halves look like the only good pairing at the minute. Hence the need for a settled team. Hopefully bardo back soon will help pick the team. As someone stated above the central midfield pairing is crucial, catts & colback is 2 defensive. Get the pairings right and we can play decent stuff, at the moment the link up play is poor. Sess is always miles from Fletcher. McLean & rose aren't linking up well.

Excellent thread, i'm staying in the MON in camp until the end of the season, no matter what!

We have got some very tough games coming up where under normal circumstances we wouldnt expect much, so we have to look to january to see what he does, somebody mentioned our only scorers are mons signings, he must be given time to build

Some very good points for and against MON.

I was not 100% sure MON was the right man for the job, now he is here I back him to get it right - his pedigree is very good and his knowledge of the game is second to none - I could be wrong of course - after all look how many successful managers Newcastle have had and not been able to replicate the success.

Peter Reid was unarguably our most successful manager in recent times - yet if we applied the MON out logic to Reid's first season in the premiership then he would have been dismissed.

He needs more time than he is being given and he certainly deserves more respect than to be called names because of where he comes from and that he wears glasses.

Reids first season in the PL after 10 games we had 10 points. 1 point better off than now.

We went down with 40 points.

I do know what you mean but we had just come up from the championship, went down on the last day of the season to Wimbledon, so we gave him a chance. Now we have been in the PL 6 years (spent a small fortune), had a very good middle of the season last season and 10th the season before, and the wheels have fallen off (so far).

I am all for keeping MON for the near future but we all know its a results business, if the results dont come, then there is only one outcome im afraid.
