I think the 'team spirit' of old and the 'heart of the team' that you speak about would of ended up having a negative effect. It was obvious to all that Nolan was the big dog/leader of the dressing room. New players would of come in and could quite easily of felt out of the loop by this 'committee' that has been in place.

This was everyone comes in fresh, there is no 'leader' other than the manager and that's the way it should be.

 

Doesn't matter

I was making an argument that we should sign another CB for security, not necessarily against Steven Taylor.

I was arguing that Steven Taylor is great, but we cannot just rely on him next season, and hope he doesn't get injured, we need another CB for squad depth.

 

fair point tash, just hope there isnt a english french divide in the dressing room as its gonna be 50/50nenglish french a spanyerd and a dutch hippy hopefully will be alright.
