Should we play with a dedicated sweeper or defender of the back 4 , old school someone who in short only goes as far as our half way line never further ? Its a really difficult role to play and you need to be composed on the ball , good in the tackle , read the line well , pass accurate a good distance , playmaker , sweeper , Beckenbauer or a sort of Scholes if you will ?
Well said Steve. In fact, this forum was much better - but the Premier League seems to have attracted a lot of misery, and negative WUMs. (not including you in that to clarify - for risk of misunderstanding!!!)
I really don't understand it - if people honestly thought it would be a walk in the park to get anything above 17th in our first season back, and that we would be able to attract anyone we wanted to the club then they are idiots. It was always going to be a struggle, particularly when we saw the opening few fixtures.
Awesome , the effort that went into that kind of negates the argument of talking and discussing with me .
In theory is it a good idea ? ============================Schneirderlin================================ ---------------------------Cork===============Davis========================== ===========================Ramirez====================Lallana============ ===============================Lambert================================ I know there is no width down the right side but it would offer protection ans be a far more robust team to break down . Just a thought .
Move Ramirez further to the right then you have the right hand side option. Neither him nor Lallana will rigidly stay in one postion, so that becomes fluid as well.
Yes , there would not be a huge gap down the right flank , it would just mean our most creative (assumption here) will have to graft out wide but if that gives the defence more time to adjust to the play so be it .
No, no, no FLT. “If the facts don’t fit the theory, change the facts.” - Albert Einstein GMI swears by it.
