This comes on the back of statistics released after the 2011 census where it showed less than half of London's population was white and born in Britain. Not all whites are classed as British (Irish, Welsh, Scotties, Poles, Romanians etc) but do state they are white. Over 60% classed themselves as born British although they might not class themselves as white. All I could think of was those Venn diagrams we used to have to do at school! It isn't as though lots of whiteys have fecked off elsewhere but the raised levels of immigrants into London means although the majority are white not all of them are British born. The majority of Londoners are British by birth but are made up of white, black, asian etc. We are a melting pot of all sorts, always have been and always will. The headlines are grabbed by anyone black who is ****ed up by whitey (racist) and immigrants taking Council houses/jobs/school places etc. Not a lot is made of black vs black murders or the numbers of trailer trash white families robbing the system. London has always welcomed the Scots, you'll find loads of them around the major transport hubs such as Kings Cross, Euston, Paddington etc. <spareanychange?smiley>
