Howay man Overseas they are not mitigating factors. Even if the story is true, its just a run of the mill occurence in football clubs at all level across the land! Players are like this all the time. Think of Sir Alan and wanting the number 9 shirt and the penalties. Players have these little tantrums all the time about who takes free kicks etc. No big deal and certainly not the basis for sacking someone, it should have no bearing on that situation. It is probably more likely to happen when the players are unhappy of course.
They have sacked him for the twitter stuff alone. This is just Mike flexing his muscles, reminding everyone it is his club. They've wanted him out for a while now, and it can be no coincidence that him, Jose, Nolan and Carroll have gone. All had strong bargaining postitions for new contracts based on performance. The club is trying to reduce costs and the sales fit well into this process.
his agent has come out and said most of it and to be honest if he behaved the way he did (and has in the past bust up in changing room with shearer springs to mind) then **** him he goes on about team morale but that in no way helps it one little bit and players like that who don't get their way then be ****s are best off out of our club imo as for sacking him for the twitter stuff they'd have done it the first time he slagged them off if that was the case it's more than that and his agent has explained most of it.
oohhh and what AH said

I'd say the main factor was acting as a petulant child who hasn't got his own way.
The day his contract wasn't on offer the Barton PR campaign kicked in. Joey joined Twitter and his agent ran off to every single media outlet informing the fans that the only way that Joey would get a new contract was if there was a change of ownership.
Why did they feel the need to state that. "Hey fans! If you want Joey to stay you have to rise up and revolt to usurp Mike!"
Joey went on about the fans buying the club. Yeah Joey; all of non-millionaire fans can do that.
The 'Make Joey a Saint' machine rolled on and on.
He then slates the transfer window progress which could be construed as an attack on the new players.
The guy and his agent have manoeuvred Joey into a situation where his impending transfer was brought closer to fruition but still Joey harps on about the greatness of the fans and the honour of wearing the black n white of Newcastle.
A few attacks on the board later and he's been officially transfer listed for free.
The 'Joey is an NUFC martyr' PR spin now takes a kick in the nuts when his own agent states that there were issues between Joey and Pardew as well as Cabaye.
An honour Joey? Then just bloody play and let the manager manage.
This is not all Mikes fault as Joey and his PR crusade has to take some of the blame.
it's actually unbelievable how some people are still backing ashley!
this
you can't win on this board if you take a step back look at the facts/reports etc. and come up with an objective view you suddenly become someone who loves/backs ashley tbh i don't think this is the case.Take Ashley out of the picture (say it was any other club or under the hall regime) and say a player has a heated argument during warm up with 2 coaches, refuses to play cos he's not made captain then spits his dummy out when a new player the manager hasn't seen much of in pre season due to visa problems is given the dead ball duties would we still be behind this player?
there is a difference between the club and the owners they are not one and the same i back the club and any decision i see as good for the club not the ****ing owners
are you when you buy your season tickets/replica kit etc. backing the club or ashley ????
Not blameless but the bottom line is the club has caused the situation by not offering players what they claimed they would. They continually lie and it just creates unrest. of course Barton has gone the wrong route, but its where the problem begins that I'm interested in. If you just deal with the consequences of a problem and not the route, it will resurface at a later date. It'll just be a different player. The club needs to change the way it operates and does business or they will continually find themselves in this scenario. Same **** different day springs to mind. If they need to reduce costs and can't offer these players good enough contracts or stick to verbal agreements, front up and say it. Most fans would appreciate a bit of honest and transparency rather than this calamitous current process. One guy could be an axe to grind, several means there is a deeper lying problem in the processes. As I've said many times I don't mind them wanting these guys out to reduce costs. I don't like it but I accept we have high debts and need to reduce them. I understand his position. its a business that is currently in a poor financial state. But please just come clean and say it openly.
Not really its just the twitter stuff has continued and he had already been warned to stop. This Leeds stuff is very in terms of football. Anybody who has played any team knows this. It goes on all the time. If we really knew went on behind closed doors, we'd probably want all the players sacked with this reasoning. It happens. Jesus one of our players broke anothers jaw for ****s sake.

Joey has continually berated the owners on Twitter whilst Jose has only done it once.
There are other mitigating factors that may have contributed to Joeys transfer listing if the rumours about his antics during the Leeds match are true.
Is it me or is everyone just voicing their opinion over and over again in different words and scenarios. I don't see the point in just going round in circles continuously.
Looks like a premature end to your NASCAR career.
round and round we all go where it'll stop no one knows
the thing i object to is people calling people Ashley lovers just because they look at it from all sides pathetic really and to be honest not seen any pro Ashley comments on here just objective views.the same people who buy shirts go to matches etc. could be accused of supporting Ashley if the same weird logic is applied
The same logic must apply to those who claim some opinions are based on their hatred of Ashley though right? People are also entitled to be of the opinion the club is wrong, yet they are also being accused of their views being based on irrational hatred and "it must be the baords fault syndrome" Personally I don't see anyone as an Ashley defender (even though I have possibly used a similar phrase yesterday when frustrated by the latest developments). They simply have a different opinion on what is the root of the problem.
