I went to school with a lad who swapped United for Blackburn. No joke. He got a season ticket for about 7p of whatever Blackburn charged back then and has been going since. reckons hes a die hard. Hes not from Blackburn and has no connection to the place at all ( actually has family around Burnley. ). Its ****ed up lol.
Every club that wins something attracts young kids who 'support' whoever's winning at the time. I think it's funny when they end up backing the wrong horse and subsequently endure years of torture, like your mate here. I've seen a few who decide overnight that they're no longer interested in English football, and declare their real passion is Barca or Juve, or whoever's winning on the continent at the time and had their shirt on sale in Sports Direct......
As Tobes says, changing alliance as a kid because someones won something is common. What I'd point to here is the loyalty the guy as shown to stick with Blackburn since despite their troubles. Although is initial reasoning for supporting them was down to glory, you can't genuinely call him a glory fan IMO. However, you can certainly wind him up doing it
I do. I support several teams though they are all in different leagues. Imagine that eh. Shocker. But it doesn't change the fact that matth was using Welsh Arsenal fan in a derogatory sense
A multiple glory hunter then? So if Liverpool get beat, then it's out with the Sligo Rovers top, they get bounced and you reach for the Jaro shirt? Nice system mate
Shelbourne back home and Celtic and a local side here in Finland AC StaSi in the Vitonen, 6th division here. I guess the name stood out, they're pretty ****e but no issues with getting to see games though
