If Paolo thinks lads on £30,000 a week will react to his style the way lads on £600 a week did he is going to crash and burn here very quickly IMO. Hopefully he has learned from this.

If a footballer doesn't concentrate leading to a penalty/red card or shies away from a tap in they've made utter twats of themselves. If the manager wants to point out they've made a twat of themselves he's just stating the obvious. Fair play to him.
I believe he has the full backing of Short on this ...... I think Short, like the supporters, has had it to his back teeth with highly paid players swanning around the club. Di Canio keeps speaking his mind and I believe he has Short behind him all the way.
I'm not disputing his right to say it, it's how and when he says it, and 5 minutes after the final whistle in the press room in an emotional outburst isn't the time or place.

We all know it was horrendous from such an experienced player, I can't see why it's such a big deal. Would we really want a manager who tries to say it wasn't a dreadful mistake? p.s.
