I was at Molineux, cheering on Danny when he was getting abuse from the home fans for much of the match. Fans be be expedient but I can't see them warming to Danny.
I love Danny Murphy, but those comments he made about Wolves and Stoke did get to me. I went to the Brittania this year and it was literally constant abuse and to be honest Murphy had no need to go and make the sort of comment he did about those teams. He also had a poor game, making lots of mis-timed tackles and ultimately being lucky not to be sent off and looking like a huge hypocrit. Not saying he deserved the abuse, but he shouldn't be surprised by it. For such a wonderful player and spokesman of the game, his didn't need to make such remarks. Wolves and Stoke play a certain way which while I'm not a fan, at the was successful for them with the players they had and you can't really argue with that. On the original article, it speaks volumes about the kind of man murphy is. He'd make a brilliant pundit but I think he might be slightly wasted when he'll make an even better manager. If anyone saw his interview with Dempsey after the chelsea game then that sums him up. Demps tried to attribute 'luck' to his goalscoring form, only for Danny to immediately interrupt him and say what a brilliant, hard-working playing dempsey is. Still a quality player though and hope he keeps going till he decides its time to step down, and he of all people will definitely know when that time comes.
