Both good players, I don't think Oscar is suited to you lot though. You'd get good money for them and as long as you keep the overall squad strength then you are the ones to beat again. The striker situation is the big conundrum for you, without Costa you have to change the way you play and be more defensive, which is fine as long as you win. Buy another top striker and you have to keep both happy and seeing as you play 1 up top is that possible?
I dont want Luis to go, and am puzzled as to why others want him to leave. When he has played, I have always been impressed with him. Oscar, Ramires and Mikel can all go imo.
I guess it's whether people are presuming he will go due to his lack of action. But I think he looks a very good player and would be happy to keep him. Oscar certainly divides opinion but isn't he only 23? Plenty of time to improve etc. Most 23 year olds aren't at his level IMO.
Well with Oscar, whilst I wouldnt mind terribly if he left, it also wouldnt overly bother me if he stayed. Like you say, he still has time to improve so if Jose felt he could add something I would be prepared to keep him. Ramires and Mikel though.....they need to go, they are just not good enough imo. Oscar is one of those players that I believe are ultimately expendable though, in that, if we need to free up cash to spend on more vital areas, he is one of the players who, not only would we miss the least, but would also fetch a pretty penny.
This is true. Mikel and Ramieres are OK squad players now but probably need to be rotated to freshen up the squad to either facilitate new signings or youngsters. The likes of Moses, Salah, Marin clearly just need moving on to bring some cash in. No good keep loaning to just lose on a free later on.
Sure, i agree with you. The reason i'd get rid of Oscar though is 1. He's too inconsistent. For every 1 good game he has 3 bad games where you barely notice he's playing and 2. He's fetch decent money which i think we could improve our squad with. As for Luis i'd sell him purely because i think it would help us get Koke if he went back to Atletico. If we can't get Koke then i'd keep Luis.
but you loved no FFP when there was none, now you love FFP. Reading between the lines, you love a non footballing advantage over most other teams? FFP is bollocks and was lobbied by the United crew to stop you and City spending, whilst they racked up dodgy sponsorship deals might I add. It worked, they can now outspend you and City, exactly what they wanted from FFP, not fairness FFP is a rigged game, only the top sides can go out and get huge sponsorship deals and so only the top sides can go and spend big £. It more or less guarnatees that the clubs who are there at the top when FFP came in, will be there in perpetuity (bar extreme situations of mismanagement) The very thing that turned the PL from a one horse yawn fest (RA and the Sheik investments) into a much more competitive league are now a bad thing? To hold that view now FFP has come in is the lamest moral standpoint I have ever come across
