At risk of breaching the GOLDEN RULE, I need to ask this question. (As above)

I must admit, that whilst not completely out of the loop to what is printed in the mainstream media rags, I've perhaps been naive in just how obsessed the tims are about Rangers. A quick browse on their own page shows 10 articles are directly or indirectly about Rangers and on the Rangers forum 8 articles on page 1 are about Rangers posted by Savco fans, then every article is populated by irate Savconians arguing about the most boring of ****e.

Then I had the pleasure of driving about last night doing the dad-taxi ****e and put on Snyde 1. Now Barcelona had just flown into Glasgow to play Celtic at the Sav Siro and easy 80%+ of the Celtic fans were on talking about Rangers, our glorious history and it struck me that it's not just on Not606 that the tims obsess about the Rangers, it's a pandemic that has consumed their whole being.

Why do they care about us so much??

Personally, I'm a bit jealous of their teams situation just now, a CL game against one of the continents top sides, a near as certain treble for the next 3/4 years and with a team built by one of their club legends, yet they just can't stop talking about Rangers.

What is the reason for this? Is it just jealousy/obsession/******ness?

Ever thread I create I see him lurking at the bottom, probably waiting to pick holes in it and like you say bore everyone to death.

I'm guessing he'll be at the game tonight with Stereo, Dev, Pud, Mindy, Tina etc etc etc.

It is slightly ironic when your CEO, manager, fellow fans etc go on about not needing Rangers and not being concerned with what's going on at Rangers.

A tiny fib there.

I listened to the podcast last night, did you hear the first call ? from a rangers fan who mightve been charitably described as strident ? That kinda set the tone, most of the calls they put through were responses to his initial points where he " wanted to let the world know " and " set the record straight " about all things rangers. It was rather tedious all round I`d agree. The panel didnt do much to steer things in another direction unfortunately. Though one of the callers did sound like the balloon who was on here making his "leeds united " argument a good few months ago ( cant remember what he called himself )
