Talking of oxygen thieves: The press regulator has received more than 800 complaints about remarks Kelvin MacKenzie made in The Sun criticising a journalist for wearing a hijab while reporting the Nice attack. The paper's former editor questioned whether Fatima Manji should have been allowed to appear on Channel 4 News. The Independent Press Standards Organisation (Ipso) said it would assess the complaints. Channel 4 News said the comments were "completely unacceptable". Writing in his column on Monday, MacKenzie said he could "hardly believe my eyes" when Manji - who normally wears the traditional Muslim head scarf - appeared on the news bulletin. She was co-presenting the programme from London while Jon Snow reported from Nice. "Was it appropriate for her to be on camera when there had been yet another shocking slaughter by a Muslim?" he wrote. "Was it done to stick one in the eye of the ordinary viewer who looks at the hijab as a sign of the slavery of Muslim women by a male-dominated and clearly violent religion?" Someone just shoot the ****.
how that **** is still employed to give an opinion on anything is a mystery . Although he will have a willing audience in the shires I suppose. ****ing bottom feeder.
Is Corbyn seen as far left just because our media are so ****ing far to the right? Same ****s had a burd with a union jack headscarf on the front page last year anaw
I wouldn't say the UK's media are far right. Certainly, Channel 4 news aren't if what Dev has reported is anything to go by.
